I appreciate you finding that cracker 'efforting'. Well done. HOWEVER, 'dove' is in fact a word.

dove - any bird of the pigeon family

Also, dove is the past tense of dive. It says so in the Random House Webster's Dictionary.

Either way, using 'efforting' as a verb was nothing short of sensational. Good find.
