Thumbs up Let's be clear...

Perhaps, Captain, you should mention that the amazing Ball State Cardinals with their star, Brian Burns are playing in the NIT, not the NCAA. How they turned wins over Kansas and UCLA combined with David Letterman's cheerleading into an NIT invitation is beyond me. Maybe they need to do a little more recruiting from the playgrounds of West Belfast?

Question Amazing Ball State Cardinals ?

One Dart,

West Belfast is an area that recruiters rarely visit. That is what made this story so special. Brian Burns was hurling petrol bombs when he was 12. Someone noticed how well he threw them and immediately thought of what he could do with a basketball. Without Burnsie, the team lacks that desire to win, the same desire that helped him survive on a daily basis in West Belfast.

As for Ball State's season, it has been interesting. I was following it after the two upsets at the start of the season. They sputtered against some of the elite programs such a Marshall, Western Michigan, Ohio, and Northern Illinois. Obviously, their inconsistent play prevented them from making the big show as a bubble team. However, without Burnsie, they wouldn't even be in the N.I.T.

Go Cardinals and Burnsie
