| Premium Member | I don't play for WS Rino but the Team and the record Dezza is referring to is: 1 Westside FC Rino "B" 14 10 0 4 39 16 30 The big discussion/controversy in the VMSL Div2(Keith Millar eligible Div) is what the league is going to do with cup play given the number of cancellations. The last message from the league was that 2 rounds were being dropped from the competition with the possiblity of more modifications should the spate of postponments continue. It will also probably elevate the quality of teams coming out of the VMSL this year as it will remove the effect of the unseeded draw that eliminates what would seem to be some of the better teams in the earlier rounds. There will be some tough decisions to made as well when ever cup does get scheduled as some teams have games in hand that could propel them into the "sweet sixteen" that has been proposed(Top 4 from 2A/2B/2C and the Top 2 from 2CATA/2CATB) |

CAT priviledges(Using club players) is not in effect during VMSL Cup nor the Provinical cup (Cup-tied I believe is the term). There was a major shakeup in the Westside organization this year that affected several teams. Dezza, can speak to that. |

As for guys moving on, we only had 2 players from last year's provincial champs go somewhere else. Everyone else is still with the club, mind you it is true that a number of them have been rewarded for their good play with a spot on the Div 1 team this year.

For their sake, hopefully Kuschy doesn't get himself suspended for the final again this year.

| Member | WW, Looks like you're a bit confused about the standings in the VISL. There is no Division called "Premier" on the island, therefore div's 1 & 2 play in the "A" Cup, and Div 3 plays "B". Cordova Bay pretty much have the div wrapped up, with Gorge only having an outside chance of finishing top 4. We also send our 2 cup finalists. Our rumour mill has the provincials being played somewhere in the Lower Mainland first weekend of June. Love to meet the JB's there. Any comment Bonefish? MP

| Premium Member | Putter, The JB's should sqeak into the cup play but will need to pick up their play to make the top 3. So I take it you have whipped Cordova Bay into shape in your 2nd year? Good work. Ghouse, The Keith Millar cup aka Provincial B'Cup features top teams that have signed the 'B' Form. This includes VISL Div 3, FVSL Div2/3, VMSL Div2, Richmond Premier, and various other leagues from around the province. Most often, entrants are determined by their placing in their league cups but this may be different for some of the smaller leagues. I hear you team is putting up some numbers as of late so if you take that play into the Gary Knight, you may get yourself a road trip or not(as rumor has the 3 day tourney being moved from Vernon to somewhere in the Valley). |

Div 1 and 2 play in the Jackson Cup for the A Cup and Div 5 & 6 have no provincial cup but play in the Tony Grover Cup on the island. So maybe your a bit confused when you play golf too eh. I'm sure you golf a low 70's. To bad that's on the front nine. And yes, FVSL is rumoured to be the host league.

Maybe they can have it in Chilliwack. That requires overnight stays and it is almost impossible to be kicked out of the Rhombus. ![]()

| Member | WW, Maybe my first post was a bit unclear... my bad. The Challenge Cup includes VISL divisions 3, 4, 5 & 6. Of this I am 100% sure, since our first round draw is against a Div 6 team. The Tony Grover Cup is for the Over 35's. To the Provincials, the VISL sends the top team in Div 3, plus the 2 Challenge Cup finalists. Last year, because we were the host league, we got 4 spots: top 2 teams in Div 3, plus 2 cup finalists. Teams from Courtney, Saltspring, Powell River, etc. are all part of the VISL. Courtney may well have won it a few years back, but would have made up one of the VISL's entries. At any rate... we'll be there. Hope the Valley isn't in the middle of manure-spreading when we visit!
