| Premium Member A Better Bastard | With the Khalsa vs. Peg match today at Newton at 2 on the Turf, and BBY. vs. GN Sport last night, I thought I would start the thread with results or insight for teams gearing up to the Province Cup. I am thinking with no word on the GN/Caps game, that it was a Blow Out. Most teams should be playing exhibitions with Imperial/Pac Cups allmost done, and both VMSL and FVSL leagues pretty well wrapped up. Any other games this weekend, Inter or Slurrey playing anyone? How about on the Island, Helmut, what is going on over there before Cup start in April? HOS Last edited by Hands of Stone; 03-15-2003 at 10:35 AM. |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | Interesting game on the Turf this afternoon. The game was nil-nil until the 70 min. when Khalsa finally got one past the young Peg keeper from close in. Khalsa had most of the play vs. the young Peg team, well young other than Regs, Safe Eddy, Gavin, and Davie, but was unable to finish on any of the many first half chances. Peg came out in the second and were able to create a few chances but the young lads up front could not chip any in. Good run, for 80 min., we only played 40 min. halves, I think everyone wanted to get to the Pub to see the Nucks game. As for the GN vs. Caps match, I heard the final score was 7-1 with GN not having a keeper for the match. Not looking good for the FVSL teams that think they can play with the VMSL boys, but think what you want. On to Inter next week, if we don't draw them in Cup the first or second round. Nice to see Kevin Cameroon back in action for Khalsa, after taking some time off with injuries. HOS |

Yes, we are having a intra-squad match at Honda Field at 2:00. It should be a great match to watch. There will be beers there too. Hopefully, it will set things up for St. Patrick's Day. BTW, Regs, we are meeting at Mav's, aren't we?

I guess we are missing guys when "Hollywood" Hogan is starting right back. I am worried about your young guys that are coming up through the ranks, the one kid in the middle gets kicked and he sulks in the middle of the park for the rest of the half. He is the big young star out of Slurrey, but he doesn't want to get kicked. A good run on Sat. but both teams need to be much sharper with Cup less than a month away. | Member | The Mc Gavin Cup final is being played on wednesday night. Vantreights Vs Gorge. This is usually a preseason cup but they decided to play it through out the season. It is basically a "friendly"...lots of starters will be sitting being careful not to get cards for their upcoming JAckson Cup games. Nanaimo, who placed first in the league..lost in the first round game 2 weeks ago. Almost a month and a half until their first BC Cup game....poor lads! Helmuut |

He must be good-looking, an astute observer of the game, a pleasure to chat with, and most importantly, likes everyone around him. Cheers, HOS. To stay on topic, our intra-squad game ended up 6 - 5, with defense obviously dominating. Jinky played the entire match. Guinness, get your fcuking facts straight. Balde did ABSOLUTELY nothing and the film shows the fcuking Hollywood bound players who were wearing blue. The only person in this world who is a bigger cnut than you, is Fernando Ricksen. BTW, Ricksen is a fcuking sniveling, cheating cnut.

| Kick'n it old school... A Total Bastard | 12:00 Saturday at Cloverdale trailer park. Surrey United vs Khalsa. It's a done deal. Keep your head up HOS, you get to play against all the guys with too many cards to play against ACM at 2:00. A team full of plumbers like me. ![]() Last edited by knvb; 03-19-2003 at 02:38 PM. |

![]() We lum-ped Trinity's holy rollers 3-0 nil tonight if anyone cares. Thanks NTG for making getting the change rooms open so fcuking easy. I know how rowdy them Christen folk can get. Frick. I will say though, that the Newton turf is excellent, it's the nicest I've been on... The hospitality could use some work, but nice pitch none the less. Martin, did an excellent game in the middle for us as well, Whistle Blower was shoc-king on the lines. ![]() Last edited by knvb; 03-20-2003 at 02:25 AM.

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | They got one by HOS, but it wasn't knvb, the LONG Throw Specialist. Ugly Warm-Up at Cloverdale Ath. today, both teams looked rusty and un-fit. Surrey held possesion for the first 1/2 hour in the Khalsa half but could not finish, in fact Khalsa lead 1-nil at half on a nice counter attack goal. Play of the 1st half, nice meg by Big P on knvb .Second half was back and forth but still ugly football. Surrey tied it up with about 15 to go on a nice volley by one of the young lads. Not much else to say in this match. Surrey had a match vs. ACM after the warm-up, Blakeaway played in that match, trying to win the Golden Boot. But, form watching the first 10 min. ACM had most of the play and missed two quality chances on breakaways. Still 3 weeks until Cup, so we may have another warm-up vs. the WhiteCaps on Friday at Queens Park, I think they open training camp on Wednesday. HOS |

| Member | Is there any official word with the Caps, and whether or not VMSL sides will be able to retain these players into the provincials?? I've heard two versions: 1) They're not available after April 1 2) There is a possibility they might be available into the 2nd round. Obviously, this could have a huge impact on how the Cup unfolds.
