Why is NTG buying another first place team?

Default wind up

just because you don't see these , do you have to bite?

we all know SU play in the metro league by now.

But, they are a "valley" team that finally won the cup.

Proving of course that the valley is better.

If this "valley" team didn't play in the VMSL, do you think that Smiles, Deacon, and Dalrymple would be playing there?

Not to downplay the rest of the squad but I think those are 3 key components to Slurrey finally winning the thing

Smiles was in net and Dal was in the middle. I'm surprised you didn't see him on Joe's back.

Well if there was a really annoying limey in the midfield, then Dalrymple played!! I know, I know they're all limeys, but the "real" one with the accent!!

Funny how all three had to come to the valley to win it.

Seriously though, these players have been around SU for a while...the difference must be the other pieces of the puzzle + an overdue win against westside in the cup, + an apparently weaker peg team I guess...+ the chance to play pau in the final +...vigilance

p.s. congrats Joe D.

I could have sworn that Smiles and Deacs have won it all before with Metro Ford

It took those three to put Surrey over the top, replacing the pretenders that were there previously that couldn't step up to the plate. Yes, you know who you are

just checked with the resident mford expert Kenny S. across the office and Deacs was not there in 94 or 99 ( to SU in 98) but Smiles was there in 99.
