Greek Summer League Playoffs

The playoffs start Saturday 10am.

Despite the Greek League Thread being rahter calm this year...(read: No More Corruption)...the games themselves have been entertaining.

We have blown two games in the final five minutes...both giving up two goal leads to end in ties.
That sealed our fate to finish in 4th place behind perrenial favourties 1) PAOK 2) PAO 3) Oymiakos.

Ouzo 2 -1 Paok in PKs

Great game by both sides...with both teams having some early chances.
Paok went up 1-0 on a nice counter attack game which seemed to be their strategy throughout the match.
We had a heated discussion at half time as our high octane offence was being smothered. It wasnt until an 84th minute back heel (donkey-like kick) into he top shelf of the net that calmed our nerves.
It was a well deserved equalizer.
Straight to penos.We hit all five of ours, and our keeper stopped one of theirs.

Celebration at last.

Went to Greek Festival afterwards for drinks and grub, and then a sighting at the Rolla'

Congrats Zaurrini. It should have been us you were playing in the final but oh well.

Fun year. Good pitch. Good reffing. Great food. Cold beers.
