Exclamation Re: 2008 Langley Summer League

Sorry lads for the confusion.

After tonight's game it looks like we play next Wednesday back at Mountain and the rest of the season we get the 9 O'Clock game every Tuesday thereafter.

Thanks for spotting my F/U Subby,
RF

No Prob. I find that quickly pointing out other peoples F/U's draw attention away from my own.

Yeah I hope so too. You have 32 people on your roster. I can try and loan you a few if need, though we will be gassed, bitter and drinking after playing the U18's.

Nomads will have a team!

looking forward to the game, our guys are all shattered, both physically and mentally, and liver wise... but we will be there nonetheless.

I'm also told there may be a Guinness sighting

Sure thing dude...Just remember how you and Scotty get to the Caps Games mate

You have a better chance of megging "Puddle" KJ (You had to be there ) than me, just ask Carniehore's future wife from Calgary that we partied with this weekend

She megged KJ in the Beer gardens with a beer in her hands!!!!, poor "Puddle" fell over and had to take a knee!!!

BTW, Happy Birthday today "Puddle"!!!!

LUFC Dynamo 2 - LUYSA U18's 1

U18's were sharp and full credit to the 16/17 and 18 year olds for stepping up and playing the men's game. I am SURE that this experience will benefit them. We went down to 10 men after about 20 when Johnny K handballed on the goal-line. Our keeper misplayed a chip and JK had to bail him out. We held them off till half time and we started attacking, one disallowed goal and we rebounded strongly to score two straight and take the 2-1 win all in the final 10 minutes.

We were short guys surprisingly, 20 guys for each of the 1st 3 games and suddenly 12? Thanks to Barnes who helped out and Dynamo'd for the evening. Gotta love the consistency of summer ball.

The Muckers / Nomads tilt was a great match. End to end action with some good play.. Tons of talent and a great game to watch. 4-3 Muckers final. Hauser scored 2? nice goals and played a strong game for the Nomads. KNVB was so on fire this match, they moved him to the backline. Muckers had some great vision, piss-takes aside it was good ball at times.

As the official scorekeeper I had Millar scoring 12 points via the uprights.

Haha, 2:19am....Nice one WB.

And I thought it was late-ish when I left at 12:30! and KNVB, that last beer from you got me in some hot water with the missus

That was one mightily packed cooler.

It was a great game to play in, a lot of fun...except for all my teammates screaming at each other

Hauser did have two. Carniehore played a good game, I think his skunk hair from kelowna this weekend may have been a bit much for some of the muckers...eh Frase?

Ranger does the reverse skunk. Leaves the white on the sides, as is, and paints a big black stripe right down the middle...erm...thinner part.

The goliath that is the Lizards rolled on tonight past their 5th straight opponent. Who can stand in their way?

4-1 Lizards over the FV Alumni according to the post-game phone call that came my way.

Closer than it sounds.1-1 at the half 2-1 twenty minutes into the second half. Then the best goal of the year so far.We cross the ball and their defender has a clinical finish in the top left corner 3-1 and it was over then.

Geeger's were as follows Southwestern,Italian,Garlic,Sun Dried Tomato.First class all the way

Sorry I couldn't make it out lads to eat your hot dogs and drink your beer. Other commitments going on these days, at least till the school year is done.

BTW Frank: we are neither Italian, or Rangers, and therefore should not and do not call them "Geigers". "Geiger" is Ghei. That word is reserved for Surrey Trash travelling from NAP. We call them- appropriately- "Franks", "Sausages", or "Weiners".

I prefer "Weiners". Everyone likes a good weiner.
