Default 2008 Ladner O35 summer league.

At the league meeting tonight the exec announces that we are one team short. Any takers out there, O35 with 3 O30's allowed on the field of play. Drop me a PM.

Hey Steve1234,

Do you have the link to the leagues website? I'm just curious if they've gotten around to posting a schedule.

Cheers.

Team to watch out for.. Cliff Ave. Had us 4-0 at the half last night, had it not been for thier Zimmers slowing them down in the second it would have been embarressing. 5-4 final to them.

Sportstown Utd 1 - Ladner Landing 1. Highlight of the night was the cooler afterwards. Boring and poorly played match.

At least you had a cooler, the new boy's Cliff Ave did not. Good thing I'm as gracious and friendly as I am.

After 5 : 1 you started playing dirty. As ussual ref didnt do anything.
Cliff Ave will breeze thru league if refs let them..

Albion 12 (no it was not 11) -2 International Selects. That sort of sums it up.

Watched the Cliff Ave game after. They slept through the first half and then switched gears in the second to beat PFC. I think the final was 5-2.

Way to run the score up, Steve1234. Who scored the 8th/9th/10th/11th/12th goals? Hopefully they bought a round for doing that........

Were you happy with the Huns performance yesterday? ........from a Scottish football perspective of course.

Captain you bring up an interesting point - I have never quite got to grips with the so called showing of "class" as they call it around here and in doing so protect the oppositions feelings by not running up the score.

Isn't it the ultimate piss take just playing triangles around them at the back and deliberately not going forward?

Some will say its just an 0-35 league but to me a game is a game.

My take is you are out there to play soccer which ultimately is about scoring goals. End of story.

Thoughts?

Ginger, it was a tongue in cheek comment.......sort of. I know exactly where you're coming from especially in a mens' league. Coaching kids is a different thing in my opinion. If any of our teams get up 6 or 7, we might play a 2 touch game and if you score doing that, that's life........or we can only score on headers or volleys. It has been a bit of an ongoing joke on the site after Dexterity F.C. in division 3 lost 14 - 0 and I think 19 - 0 in a couple of games this year. In fact, they set a world record for giving up the most goals in an 18 game season.

So, who scored the 10th/11th/12th goals? Were they celebrating?

Ginger didn't and that's why he's so upset.

I had nothing to do with it I was happily manning the BBQ. And as to your second question I am a lot more happy with their performance today

The ref had the correct count: 11- 2. Wonder where they found the 12th goal... perhaps after a couple of beers one would suspect?

Cliff Ave is starting to open up a gap at the top, 6 points clear and not even half way through the season..
