| Sad Bastard A Better Bastard | Should be a lot of fun. I am running the Surrey Dynamo team in Group C. Looking forward to it. The weather looks good for the weeekend too, would almost rather spend the weekend in the beer garden than playing... ![]() |

| Member | knvb, if you click on http://www.acbcfc.com and then click on "SCHEDULE" you can see a schedule for the matches. According to that, I "think" the three 11pm games are: Vancouver United vs Richmond FC Port Moody Fury vs Romanians Chinese Soccer Federation vs Kosova SC |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | ya sorry for the 8am and 11pm games but that was the only way to get all the 90min games in. My team is playing the 8am game so I do understand the hate towards that time,,The most problem we had was with the 5pm Friday slot and again we are playing that time too to share the pain,,but some people like it cause who wants to work Friday afternoon in the Summer. |

TTP Friends: (0) | Did you know that the winner of the Open Canada Cup receives $10.000 and (according to CONCACAF's rules) qualifies to play in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Did you know that no team from Western Canada ever competes in the Open Canada Cup. (huge travel exspences most likely). The OCC people have arranged, for any Western team, a buy into the semi finals of the OCC, to be played on a Friday 2 days before the final (Sunday) at the same location to help with travel exspences. Still a huge undertakeing for any Western team for sure. For some reason no Div 1 team in Canada competes in the OCC as all the MLS and Div 1 teams do in the States. (Lamar Hunt Open US Cup). As of right now the only teams to compete in the OCC are Ontario and Quebec Amature Mens teams and the CPSL Pro teams from again Ontario and Quebec. (www.cpsl.org) We have started this ACBC Challange Cup with one thing in mind,,,to send the winning team out East to represent the West at the OCC. Not this year unfortunately as we could only raise $10.000 in cash from sponcers as prize money. But for next year and years to follow. This years big money tournament is to raise awareness to all, on what our plans are, and also, so we can invite the OCC people out here to see our event and hopefully have them lend us there name for next years tournament. (Open Canada Cup Western Qualifyer). Just curious who will represent western canada in the open cup, the winner of this tournament. If so, why not let premier teams in or teams from Alberta major league. |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | This tournament is supposed to be for Division 2/3 teams so I hope to **** it doesn't represent Western Canada........ Having said that, I know for a FACT that there are at LEAST five players player for ACBC who are PREMIER players, so I wouldn't be surpriesed if both ACBC teams ended up in the final........ Just an observation......... |

| Member | From what I have heard pretty well every team has made some key pickups, ie the Dewd. Coachmen are made up of all ex-premier players. I actually saw them practicing tonight! Doing Doggies! Guru what's going on? What's next? No sex the night before games? |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | No one is representing the west this year at the OCC and any team was allowed to enter this tournament,,Open Mens Tournament. For some reason no Premier or PCL or PDL teams entered,,they were all told about it either by fax email or a phone call ,plus we have posters in every soccer friendly store,,we were at the Nations cup with posters and an add in their program and we have adds here and every soccer friendly web site. They all new about it. We all wondered why no High level teams entered this event. I do know most teams have picked up a few of those players for sure. No matter it will be a super fun weekend with lots of beer and good soccer. Plus we have Steak ,baked potato and corn on the cob for $8 bucks. We are going to have a wicked time so come down and join us. Please read the first post I made and that will exsplain everything about why we are not sending a team this year to the OCC. |

| Member | Yes, we're all training hard for this tournament. As one of the "pickups" for a certain unnameable team along with SCP and Gurps, I can tell you that we're all training really hard. Really. I mean, Gurps and I have been watching forwards run past us all summer, and I know for a fact that SCP is training hard, doing sardine curls up in Osoyoos.I also know that our coach has strictly prohibited us from having sex the night before a game, too. Then again, looking at the rest of this roster, there's nobody on this team that I'd want to have sex with, either... Rich, the beer garden HAS to be there on Monday. It's the only thing that makes watching tournament finals palatable (when you're not in them yourself). What kind of nonsense excuse did Burnaby give you?

| Respect & Honour A Total Bastard | ghouse, You've done a great job with this tourney - enoy the fruits of your labour this weekend! Once people hear positive talk of the tournament during the winter, I guarantee you will see much, much more interest for next summer. I think you will need to make 2 changes: (1) move the tourney date to Labour Day weekend - I don't think there is a competing tourney locally on that date anymore and even if there was, they can't compete with the prize money you've proven you can secure. Premier teams are barely training yet at this time of year (plus you are competing with the Beach Blast this weekend). (2) move the tourney as far away from a fricken turf field as you can! Good luck on the weekend!

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | LOL i love you guys,,we have a policy in place that I get to have sex before ,during and after the games,,wait till you see my girls working the beer gardens,,,ooohlala and yes they are all mine. at least thats what they told me. I would love to throw the tournament on the long weekend but so many people go away,,I have been promoting for years and all long weekends are for travelling out of Van. Thats my exsperiance anyways. As for turf fields I agree and so costly too. But haveing rain close fields down as they did last year is so risky. But I do agree. I hope to meet you this weekend Regs as I enjoy reading your comments and would love to put a face to your name. Did I mention I share. LOL |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | Oh and to mention we could only have a 3 day liquor licence. City Parks By Law. Sucks I know. And the police will be enforceing the no drinking monday. Harsh...I will be parking at 8 rinks and mixing my drinks in the car and useing a 7-11 cup and lid so as to fool them all. I suggest the same to you as they are real hard on the no alcohol rule..Ive seen the police arrest people there before. Its one place BBy really cracks down on the rules. Kids are around. I know you understand. Oh and one of my girls will be driveing me home. |
