Well the rumour unfortunately is TRUE... BUT how did it get out so fast. I just realized it myself. We don't have the numbers. Out of 33 players, we have 6 confirmed YES. I suggest trying to get on another team for the weekend.

The Highlanders have (4) foursomes set up for Friday, July 30 at the Dunes in Kamloops. Tee off times start at 1pm. Power carts, KP, Long drive is all set up...reduced rate if all 16 spots filled.

Isn't anybody besides myself getting jacked up about Kamloops? Its exciting...the beer garden, the soccer, the beer garden, the women, the beer garden, the clubs, the beer garden...

Is there a schedule yet? What local teams are going Men & Women? What do the Delta Boys have planned for this year? Shirts? Headbands? Mullets? OnSide Kick? Highball Award for each game? What about the Kamloops Rookies, what is their fate?

Schedules just got emailed out this morning. Nice - don't have our first game until 11:30 on Saturday.

Kapitan - only way I can think of to find out if they need refs would be to contact Rob Piva (tournament organizer). Aside from that, I think we've still got space for a left-footer, but you'll have to play with O'Fitch again. Green jerseys provided, though...

Been in heavy training for this; Ghost Rider's boys and I played a grudge match in stinking heat on Saturday afternoon on the turf with questionable refereeing, followed by a long team party with da Spurz. Covered all the bases:
1) heat
2) game
3) dodgey official
4) swilling
5) semi-functional status the next morning

Well I must say the Loops did not disappoint. The entertainment on and off the field was amazing - very offside moments all around. Who were those porn stars in the beer garden?? Those pink shorts were hot - where can I get a pair?

I must say beer goggles are way thicker in the desert heat than at home in Van Very questionable choices! What flavour candy was that anyway? Quite possibly well past the expiry date. Sorry boys, but you're not living that down for a while

The heat was the eventual winner of the tourney - god damn playing in 38 degrees is not a fun experience. A little controversy in the UCC v. Seikh Temple side, but all very entertaining. Unfortunately missed out on the finals but it was a good time had by all. Looking forward to next year
