Maybe a new president?? New ownership? Moving the team?

No way #3 is plausible.

Thinking this has something to do w/ the ownership situation, and the pending court date they have w/ the other potential owners who felt there were some unethical dealings (Beadie Group???).

Hopefully there has been an out of court settlement, and the ownership picture can take place.

It's to announce the police are pressing charges against Clouts, Jovo, and Bertuzzi for last fall when they ran over and killed that guy outside the nightclub.

Or they just want to clarify that A-rod can't hit anything.

News 1130 Sports in Vancouver is reporting that the Canucks have hired Chris Zimmerman of Nike Bauer Hockey to become the team's CEO/President.

Zimmerman comes to Vancouver an avid hockey fam who played for the University of Vermont and served as an assistant coach at Babson College while in graduate school.

He is credited with re-surrecting the Nike Golf franchise.

Prior to joining Nike, Chris spent 16 years in a variety of senior advertising positions.

A press conferernce is set 3:00 pm pt at GM Place.
