![]() | It appears someone has bollocked up the hotel arrangements for the upcoming provincials......we were told we would be staying at the Executive PLaza on North Road(great location) but then told today nothing had been booked by the tournament...SOOOOOOOOOOO we need a hotel which has some decent restaurants/shops for the girls and we need the field to be fairly close. We're playing on the turf fields at Burnaby Lake. Also, it would be handy if the price was around $100.....any ideas that anyone knows off-hand? |

| Member | Cappy: For your $100 budget, you're not going to see a heck of a lot, but try these as options...1. Lake City Inn as per Polska - at least it has a pool. North side of Lougheed across from the bowling alley (Revs aka Brentwood Lanes). Closest to the fields. 2. Executive Inn on Lougheed (behind Tim Horton's, west of Brentwood) fulfills the shopping request, and is close to the Shark Club (this is the one that people get shot at). 3. A splurge: the Hilton at Metrotown. Shopping heaven for the girls. 4. Failing that, Daemonspawn #1 has offered up his room to share with the girls (what can I say - the boy's ambitious). He says to tell them that "he plays soccer too..." ![]() Trece (another former Burnaby kid)

| Member | Also try the Villa. It is a Delta Hotel now. Not far from the Lake. Just a quick drive down Canada Way. Canada Way and Willingdon freeway exit. Also features a McDonalds across the highway. For the adults, nice Greek restaurant just West on Canada Way plus there was a good sports bar in the Villa itself. Equidistant between Brentwood Mall and Metrotown so shopping abounds. |
