I need a bit of practice for St. Patrick's Day, which happens to be two days later. I have to cleanse my body as it took a quick turn for the worse after Kamloops. I was wondering about this whole IQ thing so I looked around and did a couple of calculations...

The IQ score is a normal distribution with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 16. So it follows that:

If you have a test of 40 questions, if you get:

x/40 you get an IQ of:

Meaning that a perfect score is 140 (congrats Screw You C.). It makes you wonder what sort of deal you would get for $15 if you get your personalized 15 page report describing you test.

There must be another factor, like speed of which it takes to complete the test or certain questions. I say this because the scores really fluctuate, and aren't exactly equal with the IQ figures you've shown.

I've done a couple of long aptitude tests before (the type that take 4+ hours), and those things are unbelievably accurate on both IQ and personality. Scary, really. These ones have some truth, but it also told me I'm "patient", and that "people try to get mad at you, but they feel terrible about it later". I am 100% sure that patience isn't my best virtue, and I'm not so sure about the second one either.
