Its an Italian tradition to give the captain band to the player with the most caps, ADP has the most on the team.

Having said that he does captain Juve and will score a goal tomorrow.

Glad to see Chiellini in the line-up and Grosso starting as well. Would have been nice against the Dutch but as least Donadoni's got it right now. Hopefully ADP will spark the offense now.

Yes I have typed that correctly. The cat is very much among the pigeons. Gianluca Zambrotta is right under a hopeful long ball and heads it straight into the path of Adrian Mutu who smashes the ball under the crossbar. Roberto Donadoni is not looking so cool now.

I guess it is Karma as the Beeb has said that the goal that was chalked off for offside was wrongly called...it should have stood, so the result "is what it is"...

Fcuk my life. The disallowed goal was shocking, it was a PK but Buffon came up huge, then we go down then other end and Toni tries for a diving header but can't because the defender is holding his arm, so he ends up with a hand ball. I almost (and repeat almost) wanted a loss just to end the misery and nerves leading up to Tuesday.

Great game.

The Romanian goalie with some huge saves. ONe going top corner off a Toni header, and the other in close from Di Rossi's header.

The Toni goal that was called back, was ONSIDE.
But that is just the luck right now.

Buffon with a great save, guessed right and reached back with his hand and then hit his foot. To save Italia, and still give them a chance.

The whole room thought it was over when the penalty was awarded.
What a save.

So we just have to beat France. And have Romania tie or lose to the dutch.

AAAAAAAAAAHhhh!
