FVSL [PDD] Results and Banter - March '06

March Madness begins.
Delta still waiting for cup games, GEU still in the hunt for the title, and everyone else........well.......who really cares about everyone else, as long as GEU still has a chance at the title.

I think there's only a two teams with no league games left
Delta and PAU are done
GEU - 1
North Delta - 2 (could move them to third place if all are wins)
Chilliwack - 2
Poco - 1
Whalley - 3?
GN - 2
Dewdney - 2
Langley 1

That's alot of games to play still in between cup.

I thought I had read in another thread that Dewdney has forfeited the rest of their games this year. I think I read that in the Pak Cup thread.

We have two games left, one against GEU and one against Chilliwack.

Yoda, not sure what has happened, considering we play you back to back in the Ridge. But I think you mentioned it, and their were some rumours from our team that we would be up for a 2-for-1 game.

this was a 6 point game so the season is done for both teams.

Guess it 's a little late now though.

Yoda for the love of god man hurry up and win this league! Christ two years ago we had her cinched up with three games still to play. I thought you guys were suppose to be better this year? Do I have to come out of retirement?

GEU 1 - Lions 0

Really good, hard fought game by both sides right down to the final whistle. We rang one off the bar late in the 1st, GEU had a couple sitters that were cleared off the line, so the chances were there for both teams until they put it away half way through the 2nd. And while I don't like seeing a good game decided the way it was, I won't say they didn't deserve it. Congrats lads.

what team canada didn't mention was that the geu goal seemed to be scored by a player that was offside, and the ref was in position to call it either way

good game, definately better than last week, but with one league and one cup game remaining for us, it was nice to play a good game of soccer

congrats to geu, saw some faces from the premier team, but if the league and some cash were on the line, i'm sure we would do the same thing

Team Canada,
The players that you may have recognized would have been CAT players that were brought up to be Premier players.
Granted, we looked different than last week, they players that played were CAT players for the year. There were no players that were Premier players brought down, only players that were signed to Premier for CUP just in case.

It was a great game today with chances both ways.
The goal could have gone either way, but i think the goal was scored by a player that was onside when the ball was played, although there were about 4 other players that were offside at the time but going the other direction.

Nice to see 20 keep his shoe laces tied all game.

the ref was a no-show at the chilli/langley game. i guess we'll have to reschedule for mid-april...

PS: Wish you could have been there to celebrate with us Bluebird. You deserved to be there as much as anyone.

Arroyo, correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't the Club Championship represent the best "overall" club in the League, combined total points for the Premier and PDD?
