Default Where's the best pitch?

So a little bored but haven't seen any new conversation on here for the premier...So who holds the title for the best pitch in the league? What's the league "rules" regarding premier team facility?

Good thread

Rules? You have to have changing rooms available at all times unless you play PAU in which case you must close them completely so we can all read Guinness’ endless moans about how the league is bush for letting teams set up games who don’t have proper showers and how upset he is that he can't drop the soap in front of Mr. May 07’

I’ve heard PAU has the best pitch… They’re always moaning each others lawns.

PAU definitly has the best turf field I have ever seen. I prefer a good turf field over grass so I would go with that one. Then again when you spend your playing days in the lower leagues of the fraservalley you don't get to see good grass fields. You do get to see JB though.

Not true KNVB. I cut your grass the other day, and that trim is looking great now. Changeroom was a bit small, but the shower was something else.

I assume with a little CLR I'll be able to eliminate the mildew problem you left behind? Clean your boots outside before coming in next time, please.

I may have caused that stain, but I didn't leave it behind. Not my "stuff".

What's the story with delta? that feild is good but haven't seen a changeroom/crapper available anytime we've been there? I think that pitch up on the hill in poco (i think its poco's feild), at the secondary school is great. would have been nice to have access to the change rooms but the pitch was mint.

How could anyone like a good turf field over a good grass field.
Turf will always be second best to grass.
that being said. Bulljive is right.. PAU has the best turf field...
and not being biased or anything..
but our home grass field is the best i have played on in a few years.
Chilliwacks feild is always pretty good too.
and to continue.. i think our whole facility is the best..
with large changing rooms and showers.. with great grass pitches and a great turf.
I don't think any other team in the valley could compare.

Chilli's is nice,, but there changeroom is so small.. so small...
delta, geu, lions, g.n., pomo, can't even talk.
no really...
don't...

Cloverdale is nice too.

Or have they used new technology ?

A good turf field is like a good fake Christmas Tree....

ZERO character...but effective.

Defineatley miss the smell of freshly cut grass....

Have you played or seen there turf field? It is nothing like any of the other turf fields around. The turf is longer and more forgiving on the body. It doesn't play as fast as newton, mackie or cloverdale. Although I just checked out PAU new grass field by the track.. it looks choice

Without question the best turf field is at Westview Secondary in Maple Ridge.

Worst turf I have played on is Poco Turf and a close second is Hertiage Woods

It is NEW turf that is why it seems like it is more forgiving. Give it a couple seasons and it will be as crappy as every other turf field out there.

Anywhere that has natural grass is a good field

Cloverdale Athletic has the best grass fields, unfortunately 3 of them are women's and the old football field which is always in fantastic shape is used for the little kids. That's probably why they're in such good shape.

Lightbulb Re: Where's the best pitch?

Actually we just played Friday night at Mission Sportsplex.
The grass was in great condition and the new facilities were very nice too.
HUGE fcuking fields.
Smaller changerooms though with only two shower heads in each.
It's surrounded by unbelievable new homes which adds to the whole aura/view as well.

I was very impressed and it is easily up there with SSA.

I would agree with Lion that South Surrey Athletic is easily the best "valley" facility (grass, turf, changerooms, etc) although Newton will be better once they get another turf pitch in the next year or so... The new technology along with the fact they haven't been used long is a big advantage...
Cloverdale is easily the best facility in Vancouver (that sounds stupid, but it's true), except their "gate Nazi" kicks them out after a beer... I guess KNVB is the only guy ever complaining because he's the only guy ever drinking more than one!!!

BTW, TWU has had the best lit grass field around... Although, PAU has now just got one as well...

That's for sure Guinness...TWU's grass pitch, and facility is probably one of the top on the west. Probably because nobody really gets to play on it unless its summer, and everyone's grass grows then!
