[FVSL Premier] Christmas Banter & Nonesense

As the night of celebration at La Rocca draws nearer, I felt it would provide a nice setting for a fun little Christmas story. I give to you my version of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas with a little FVSL/TTP flavour added.

Hope you all have an enjoyable holiday....well not ALL of you.



'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the threads
Not a bastard was posting, not even Sir Regs
The vino was poured at La Rocca with care
In the certainty that Guinness would drink more than his share

The rookies were nestled all snug with their soothers,
While the veterans worked steadily through a long line of shooters
Rangerforever with his crutches, and Coach at his hip
Had just settled in for a well deserved sip

When back in the kitchen there arose such a clatter!,
Lion sprang from his pasta to see what was the matter
We rushed to the back, for fear of wine lost
But laughed as we realized Cainy had been tossed

Commercial was dusted with new-fallen snow
We were all very certain Langley's turf would over-flow
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a sleek, silver pimp-mobile, and not one single reindeer

With a balding old driver, talking non-stop for days
I knew in a moment it must be that Aves
More moaning than ever, his teammates complained
As he analyzed, annoyed, and called them by name;

"Move this way!...go that way!...play it 'round the back!
Come show Sage!...now pass Studs!...No Skip, not like that!
We must work the four-four-two like we're able
Here!...let me illustrate using toonies on the table"!

He spoke many words, and went straight to his fun
Giving a bucket of chicken to Star #1,
A lifetime supply of mittens for Kokanee
and a team set of bibles for langley to sing with glee

Then he sprang to his pimp-mobile fast as a dart
As he pushed it down-hill in an effort to start
But I heard him exclaim as he jogged out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all......but check out, it's too tight!!

I noticed Rangerforever placed his vote on Guinness despite my use of the sarcastic ... . You see RF, the was used because the question was "Who will have their Missus throw a drink in their face"? Now, the part is the fact that Guinness has no 'significant' Missus at this time, but I suppose the better question would have been:

"Which of Guinness' insignificant Missus' (that was tough to say) will be throwing a drink in his face"? ......as it goes without saying he'll be sauced!
