| Member  |  Worst Ref in the FVSL?? I had to say something. TIM PO (not sure on the spelling) is hands down the worst official in the FVSL, perhaps BC, maybe even Canada. This man is shocking. We had him today and between missed offsides and just blatent missed calls he showed his low end status. GEU had a player yell at his own team mate and Tim hearing the cursing turned around and was going to give the Langley player a card for swearing, not even knowing who it was, he was just the closest. Even after a call had been made for Langley, their player said something and he starts reversing calls and hands their player a yellow card. Celtic and Arsenal seen first hand last week the calibre of Tim, giving out cards for and apparent "tackle from behind" but when one player swings and another jumps on a players back not even a yellow was shown. I'm sure other teams have had to deal with this 90 minute horror show aswell. What can we do to get this guy out of the FVSL, send him to girls bronze or something, cause this guy is out of hand. He did our game right after and the same thing Pike told one of our guys to mark up and Tim called him over and gave him a warning hahaha it was the funniest thing I've seen, he was as shocking as I thoguth he would be, but he did miss so many calls both ways, but I think the worst Ref would have to be Mani, the old German guy with coke bottle glasses, I once saw a guy punch another player in the face, I asked him if he was goingt o through the guy out, and he carded me anyway. |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard  | Re: Worst Ref in the FVSL?? guys he is worse than you think,,he suspended our game against the lions with 25 min to go and yet the only card he had given out was a yellow to our team captian for asking him how long to go in the half. He also marked a penalty kick on the childrens spot,,,we kept telling him and he gave us cards for telling him he had marked it rong,,after he noticed he erased our cards from his book. But the grand daddy of them all was when one of the opposeing players had taken a knock near the side line and near the end line in the corner and was takeing a knee , the play moved out to center and then back in where our player was standing infront of the net offside to the ref but because of the knocked takeing a knee player in the corner,,,on side was our guy,,and in went the ball,,he waved off the goal saying offside,,as our player pointed to the knocked player still on the ground,,and he looked over at the player he realized he had made a mistake,,,he just blew his whistle and called the game and walked off and that was that ,,25 minutes before end time. His report read he abandoned the game because he didnt feel safe. He does need to be looked at by the league.

| Member  | Re: Worst Ref in the FVSL?? Stop giving the refs a hard time... Sometimes you have to look in the mirror before blaming the only other person you feel could control the game. It is a stressfull position (refs) and they take way more abuse than the should have too. Ratehr than a thread dedicated to the worst ref, we should have one dedicated to the best refs. Carry on. | Member | Re: Worst Ref in the FVSL?? I think the league is in fact aware of this fellow, but they are also in a shortage situation. I guess he only gets scheduled at last resort. Honestly, think about it...he reffed two men's games in a row. Think they could have found a better ref? Well...no! That's the issue. Fat Monkey was "playing" on the old pitch after our game. Even his officiating would have been better.  PS: Fil...something on your nose there.

| Member | Re: Worst Ref in the FVSL?? I've got to agree Tin Poh definately is the worst refs in the the league. Luckily we havent had him ref a game for us this year. At times he looks downright confused. A few seasons ago I filed a formal complaint with the league accusing him of "massive incompetence". Nothing came of it, as the league was short referees at the time and needed to keep him on. Aside from Tin Poh, the league does have some good referees. I would rate Andy, Kevin, and the guy w/the Jamaican accent as some of the better refs in the league. |

This "Canada Badge" and "Fifa" jacket wearing guy has had a bad game in the past, but yesterday was SHOC-KING!!! He gave very weak yellow cards out a couple of times, yet didn't even call a foul in other situations where a card was definately in order... Missed calls on one hand, then make up calls on the other... I like PNE as a guy and respect his authority, but as a criticism I think he is way too inconsistant... I realise the league has a shortage of officials and I'm sure there isn't loads of young guys getting their ticket anytime soon... We (FVSL) need to weed out the bad apples (Tin Po) and encourage the good ones (PNE) to improve in areas... We (as players) are not perfect most days, so I'll give slack to certain refs who have an off day... PS. Man City 3 PNE 1 | |

| Member  | Re: Worst Ref in the FVSL?? I've commented on Tim on another thread, and I won't reiterate here. He is quite possibly the worst referee in mens soccer I've ever seen. I've already sent (today in fact) a long official letter/email to the league about him, so I'll leave it at that. I will tel a humourous story here though. Last season he called a Pk against us, (can't remember why... but I'm sure he didn't know either.. I digress) anyway, he tried to explain to Osame Bin Madden (our keeper) what the rules were for a goalie. Osame appeared as though he didn't understand, so Tim re-explained. Osame started to walk towards Tim trying to decipher what he was talking about, so I yelled from the side (now bear in mind this was all in jest), I said: "we're going to need two interpreters, cuz neither of you can undestand each other". Tim flipped out, ran at me with a red card. I was laughing so hard I couldn't hear what he was yelling. After all settled down a bit, I explained to him that I was saying our goalie was Mexican, and couldn't understand him. Tim started to laugh, and came back to me and took away the red card... All was ok till half time when Osame was pissed for me calling him a Mexican.... .... Stupid Spaniard! ! ! |

One thing I forgot to mention earlier, I thought the rules cleary state thet if your not at the game, by the time you kick off you can't enter the game until halftime? Tim let the Surrey stars players that were late (about 15mins) join in. | |

And a goal called back as he thought the goalie had possession. But was just in his feet. He is pretty inconsistent, but would take him over 80% of the refs out there. He is a good guy, and Martin.... i forgive you for the bad game. As much as I yell and try to show you the path/light. We all move on...... As I have terrible games too. We all do. but really... TIN POH is the worst......EVER!! Dangerous to the game, and the men playing in it. One bad tackle non call, turns in to another, as the player has to defend himself if the ref doesn't for him. Games can get out of hand, and dangerous for players when he is reffing. I would probably rather not play with him as a ref. He ruins the game.PERIOD. he shouldn't be able to play for one reason alone, aside from being a terrible ref. NO COMMUNICATION SKILLS. NONE. LION |
