The bigger question is what Premier teams are going out in the first round due to losing to a first division opponent

LUFC A div 1 VS Aldergrove Premier

ACBC div 1 1 VS N.D. Lions Premier

Port Moody div 1 VS Chilliwack Premier

Tsaw div 1 VS Abbotsford Premier

Trinity div 1 VS G.E.U. Premier

Dwedney Coachmen div1 VS DELTA Premier

I suspect there will be an upset or two here ?

first round:

Aldergrove Warriors (d1) vs Chilliwack Rapids (d1)

Port Moody Gunners (d1) vs Chilliwack Rapids (p)
This should be a good match! But Chilli is too experienced for Pomo.

Poco Reserves (d1) vs Surrey Rangers (d1)
Reserves depleted at transfer deadline? If so, Rangers by 3.

LUFC Athletic (d1) vs Aldergrove Utd (p)
IF the Athletics regain some form they win this battle though it could go either way just the same.

Tsawwassen Royals (d1) vs Abby Mariners (p)

LUFC Dynamo (d1) vs GEU Cobras (d1)

Surrey Sporting (d1) vs Coquitlam Aresnal (d1)

Dewdney Razorbacks (d1) vs DMU (d1)

Poco City (p) vs Langley Utd (p)
TOUGH 1st round for both these teams, Poco's playing well.

Peace Arch (d1) vs Whalley Utd (d1)
Wow...nice draw..both teams could not ask for better.

GEU Knights (p) vs Trinity Western Titans (d1)
Trinity is dropping but the Knights are a D1 team. Could go either way.

ND Lions (p) vs ACBC (d1)
Will be an excellent tilt. ACBC winning IMO would be an upset but I am going with my large gut feeling here.

DMU (p) vs Dewdney Coachmen (d1)

NDFC (d1) vs Aldergrove Utd (d1)

Odog? I thought the other guy was in goal now. Maybe I need to re-think that post.

Wow - some tough matches there.

The most interesting are definitely:

Port Moody Gunners (d1) vs Chilliwack Rapids (p)
... will be a fast paced matchup - youth vs. experience

Poco Reserves (d1) vs Surrey Rangers (d1)
... will be a hard nosed battle - lots of cards in our last tilt

Poco City (p) vs Langley Utd (p)
... two solid prem sides, enough said

ND Lions (p) vs ACBC (d1)
... I'm going with ND Lions to win but ACBC to wear more mittens

DMU (p) vs Dewdney Coachmen (d1)
... Coachmen could do it if they lay off the turkey over Christmas

Interesting draw...a lot of average Div. 1 teams will be skating through to the 2nd round, but that's what you get when they are drawn.

Can't wait! We have a tough draw in Aldergrove Premier, but I have to say that our PK Pak Cup loss to Langley Premier last season- dispite the heart breaking result and diabolical officiating by JB- was the most enjoyable game of our season.

Let's get it on!

I can see how it must look but honestly? I believe in Our Premier side's ability to get the job done, especially with their latest signings, obviously dependant on if they can form a team. The Athletics are so far underachieving I only have to assume they will start a winning run and are they really that much different than Aldergrove Premier, and I would never vote against my own team so I guess I am a homer.

We have 11 teams, It is doubtfull that I will be voting for ALL of them to win in the 1st round.

sub - give your head a shake mate. The D1 Athletics can't hit the broad side of a barn, let alone score enough to knock off a decent Aldy prem side. I love underdogs, but come on now!

What's a good wager on this match? I'll take Utah and his bag of dicks in a "slight" upset!
