    Default Pakenham Cup 2009 - Week 1

Well here's the draw for round 1:

1st Round Port Moody Gunners D1 North Delta D1
1st Round Poco City FC P GEU Knights D1
1st Round Sikh Utd Eagles D1 Abbotsford Mariners P
1st Round Aldergrove Utd D1 Peace Arch Selects D1
1st Round Langley Utd P Delta Metro Utd P
1st Round Peace Arch Utd D1 LUFC Dynamo D1
1st Round GEU Cobras P Athletic Club BC P
1st Round Poco City Reserves D1 LUFC Athletics D1
1st Round Aldergrove Warriors D1 Mission SC D1
1st Round Dewdney Razorbacks D1 Dewdney United D1
1st Round Surrey Sporting D1 Aldergrove Utd P
1st Round SFC Strikers D1 SFC Rangers D1

Looks like we'll be playing the Rangers 2 weeks in a row now, and only 3 Premier teams drew D1 teams. How did TWU get a bye?

The Rangers, Athletics, and even the Dynamo have shown guts in this competition in the past, to go deep and pull off the odd upset (Athletics v Aldergrove Prem last year IIRC)

I thought that North Delta knocked out two Preimer teams last year ?
When it's a one game playoff anything can happen !

When does the Pak Cup Start?

Feb 1st weekend? or the following weekend?
TheRob, HOS, and WhiteShoes were like brothers to me. And when I say brother, I don't mean like an actual brother but I mean it like the way black people use it which is more meaningful, I think. Zoolander, 2001

According to the FVSL Site, just the Presidents and Masters Cup start that weekend, leaving me to guess that the Pak would be the following.

I would think so, it'll be 2 straight SFC Derby's, since we have you guys last game of the season as well.

I checked, it starts Feb 8-10, so that means 2 SFC Derby's in a row.

have they taken points from any of them yet? I am sure delta prem would win their 1st match against them.

Have you seen Delta play? I don't think they would win many Div1 matches

They beat Sikh, tied Whalley and will get points out of Aldergrove

SFC they tied, and were lucky too, not many time you can spend 80 minutes in your own end and still get points.

we have played sikh and alderhole, both who have more overall skill. I figured GEU to be better this year, but they are not. Have seen delta and YES they would beat them.
