| Premium Member A Better Bastard | Looks like someone's been dipping into the shortbread a bit early this holiday season... There are some good teams in North Delta, but to delude one's self that there will be a plethora of ND teams promoted at season's end is a sure sign that the sugar high has definately kicked in. Better have Mum put the sweets away over at his place. ![]()

But most of the Players, players(try to follow) are not from ND so we don't want them here anyway. but I would have to agree ND is by no means dominating anything. we do have a good team in U21, div3, 2 in div2 and one in premeir. dominating at the lower levels doesn't mean much.

| King of the PK's and a A Better Bastard | I would have to disagree.......National Bank should probabley look at the Geu Rams before spouting out..... A small struggle with the premier squad but I still think GEU has the most solid club....to bad we don't have parks to play on ![]() |

| Member | My memory is not that good anymore or mabe it never was that good, I can't remember, but didn't the Lions play in the cat division. That was the year the Rangers and Highlanders left and the division really wasn't that strong except for a couple of teams. One of those teams was Surrey Storm who I thought finished ahead of the Lions but made the choice not to go up because the cat division was not the proper route to get promoted. Yes I guess avoiding relegation your first year is a good accomplishment but sitting at the bottom of the table in your second year with more than half the games done is not exactly where you want to be sitting. Anyway I really don't care I am just a little bored and lacked anything intelligent to post about.

| Member | We definately didn't thump everyone in div.1, but the two years i played there, we finished top 5 then top 3 and beat the Highlander's in the President's Cup Final. That was with Delta Metro. When we moved to North Delta, we lost our Div.1 spot, and were placed in the CAT Division, along with the Storm. Where we finished 2nd ( i think) behind Poco, and went on to win our second straight President's Cup (beating the Storm), and finished second in the Provincial Cup. We were then chosen, as did Aldergrove, to join the Premier League because, i believe, they were down to eight teams, and of the 8, were the Rangers who were to be merging with some members of Metro Ford to make the Premier team. The merge never happened, and the Rangers declined the spot, which then went to Sikh United. Last year, yes the main goal was to stay up because we knew we were in tough. But this year, we definately didn't see ourselves where we are now, and this year is also the first time that we have been plagued with injuries. The goal now is to stay up, start recruiting more youth players, and maybe bring back some players that grew up playing in north delta. It's amazing how losing two games in injury time can change a season. Billy Jackson scoring with seconds left, and Langley coming back to beat us 2-1 in injury time really gutted us. I do believe as a whole, the ND club is doing well, for a club that was joined three years ago now, but there is definately room for improvement. Hats off to NDFC, the Titans, and National Bank United for their seasons so far. To the Players, two points out of last, good luck in the rest of the season, either staying out of automatic relegation, or relegation all together would be great. And you could be joined by another team from ND next year. |
