Default International Friendlies ~ Post WC 2006

A fresh start for discussion on friendlies/other games that are after World Cup 2006. Many competitions are starting up again for countries, Euro 2008 being the main attraction...

Here's a list of today's scores....

FT Russia 1 - 0 Latvia

FT Finland 1 - 2 Northern Ireland

FT Moldova 3 - 2 Lithuania

18:00 Namibia ? - ? South Africa

19:00 Cameroon ? - ? Guinea

FT Morocco 1 - 0 Burkina Faso

FT Romania 2 - 0 Cyprus

FT Tunisia 0 - 1 Mali

FT Egypt 0 - 2 Uruguay

FT Belarus 3 - 0 Andorra

FT Denmark 2 - 0 Poland

FT Ivory Coast 0 - 1 Senegal

FT Luxembourg 0 - 1 Turkey

FT Norway 1 - 1 Brazil

FT Czech Republic 1 - 3 Serbia

FT Liechtenstein 0 - 3 Switzerland

FT Austria 1 - 2 Hungary

FT Ireland 0 - 4 Holland

FT Germany 3 - 0 Sweden

FT Italy 0 - 2 Croatia

90' Bosnia-Herzegovina 1 - 1 France

87' England 4 - 0 Greece

Croatia still undefeated against the Italians improving their record to 3 wins 2 ties 0 loses. Italy had a depleted lineup with only one person from the WC team, but a win is a win, especially in Palermo once again!!! Croatia with a new coach, some new faces and one old one (Rapajic) played a solid game. Need to get a few more games in before playing Russia in September....

Other notable teams, Brazil tied, Czech's lost....

Just watched the match. Croazia took their few chances well. The Brazilian-Croatian da Silva with the first. Great win for Croazia against Italy's second roster... third keeper Amelia was the one player from Germany in the lineup. Euro champs here you come . The match was played in Livorno btw... a few miles north of Palermo.

And to all you Itals i'm just joking around... I went to ND for crying out loud, i got more WOP friends that most WOPS do....

Pretty nice down hear in California, caught a bit of Argentina/Switzerland yesterday, am watching Brazil/Turkey at the moment, and from the sublime to the not so sublime, England is playing Estonia tomorrow, hopefully England will get a result...

Can't watch the end now, Margaritas poolside coming up. No one tell Mrs at the Spa...
