Beckham's MLS Endeavors...

Latest bit of news/controversy...
David Beckham caught up in MLS kiss furore - Football News - Telegraph

Off topic, nice to see the state of the game in Canada and the MLS when Canadian Intl Adrian Serioux nearly cripples Beckham and says "welcome to the MLS"

His second season is off to a flyer...9 games played, 4 goals, 5 assists, including a 60+yard goal catching a keeper out of goal, and bombing the ball dead centre...

The Galaxy are also in first in their conference...

So far (now roughly a year in) is this thing a success or what?

The media hoarde that seemed to follow him around has died, and luckily for the MLS and the Galaxy (And his endless list of sponsors and endorsement contract holders) Bex is letting some footballing do the talking for once...

I'd say a bit of a success so far but if the media hordes have died down in the US, then not so good.

I guess you have to determine the meaning of success...

Football wise...Other 'stars' in Europe can look west and see that Bex is...(Ronaldo, Henry(who has stated USA is his next and final destination and has been reported that Seattle Sunders FC will Designate him), Riquleme, others)
a) earning a lot of money
b) the standard of football is not as high, but is not total pish

The media hoarde has died down to a whimper on the daily goings-on of the Beckham family and specifically if Victoria has joined the Scientology cult, or if Tom cruise's kids are actually beckhams, or if Snoop Dog taught Bex kids to play "American Football"

The media TMZ trainwreck TV is something the MLS and Galaxy officials probably don't want....although even bad news is publicity nonetheless...

This vulgarism has been in widespread use since the late 1940s. The original idea evoked by the expression was that of deflating someone, recalling the description of a self-important blusterer as 'all piss and wind.'
