| Premium Member A Better Bastard | Martin Biron stops 22 shots and Flyers beat Devils 3-0 to clinch playoff spot in East I've just checked the standings again and the Flyers still haven't clinched.....unless I'm missing something. ![]() These are the standings before tonight's games..........Ottawa lost to Boston so Boston is ahead of the Flyers and Washington can win to pass the Flyers too? ![]() . y-Pittsburgh 81 102 2. y-Montreal 81 102 3. * Carolina 81 92 4. x-New Jersey 80 97 5. x-NY Rangers 80 95 6. Ottawa 81 94 7. Boston 80 92 8. Washington 81 92 9. Philadelphia 80 91 I think I may have figured it out........ Carolina lost tonight so they are stuck on 92 points so Philadelphia will be ahead of them.......and/or Washington no matter what Washington does tomorrow against Florida........![]() Last edited by Captain Shamrock; 04-04-2008 at 08:18 PM. |

| Respect & Honour A Total Bastard | Up to date standings: NHL.com - Standings No one can catch Philly now. Funny situation: Hurricanes currently sit in 9th with no games left, but if Washington who is currently 3rd in the conference, loses their last game in regulation, Carolina is in WITH home-ice advantage and the Capitals are out!!!

I wouldn't fancy a first round match-up with Washington..........but the Flyers are winning the whole thing anyway. It doesn't matter who they play. Flyers will beat San Jose in the final........Fantasyland CSC ![]() ![]()

Briere, who has 31 goals and 72 points, injured his knee in a collision during Wednesday's 4-2 loss in Pittsburgh. I heard however that his injury will not keep him from golfing.

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | I must admit that I'm not as confident going into this series.....but tremendous strides this year nonetheless. Go Flyers........I agree about Biron.......those two late goals in game 4 seem to be going the wrong direction......... |

| Member | The boys have had to deal with two explosive, quick teams so far. Both Washington and Montreal can open it up and pot goals quickly. The Flyers have been awful at protecting leads in both series. The upside they made it through and should be ready for an explosive Penguins team. Hopefully the can keep it rolling and quit making it hard on themselves by spotting the opposition goals. I'm f 'in thrilled they're in the Conference Finals again. |
