Interesting news out of Ottawa.....Seems Pittsburgh is willing to trade Malkin to LA for the #2 pick and Cammalleri which will allow them to sign Hossa long term. It seems Malkin's agent is saying he won't sign for less money then Crosby next year which puts the Penguins in a pickle as they could lose him.

Thoughts??

This Malone thing is also a joke. Trading rights to talk to Malone

Pretty sure he will go to a team that offers the most money and has a chance to win come July 1st.

Malkin will be traded, next year. Makes zero sense to trade him now, unless you are swapping for Stamkos, and TB has been selling this kid since the season ended

On Topic, Gillis has been busy, visiting 5 NHL cities in the last few days apparently... obviously gearing up for some action pre and post draft!

Gillis said on the 1040 today that lots of teams are interested in getting both Sedin sisters. Their is also a Kesler trade rumor

More Malkin news.....Russian hockey league has a handful of teams that are set to offer Malkin 15 million a year after his contract is up this year. After Malkin pays taxes he would still take home 12.5 million which would make him the highest paid hockey player in the world.

Is he money hungry?

Well he said he wasn't, offering to take less to stay in Pittsburgh (and by less it's still in the 8.5M range) but I guess that will be the true test.

The problem w/ Russians is they like Russia, they like hockey, don't care too much about championships, but they like money- and unless you are a hockey player or mafia, there is very little of it to go around.

I see this as a somewhat possible scenario.
