Thumbs up Penalty shot selection

It's a good possibility that Canada may have to go into a shoot out. Since some of you guys seem to think you know everything there is to know about team Canada and hockey in general who would you like to see take the shots and what order?

Fastshow...he was referring to the Canadian Men's team, not the Swedish women's team.

1. Sakic
2. Yzerman
3. Gagner
4. Kariya
5. Lemieux

And # 6, if needed: Theo Fleury.

All but Neville have missed a PK for Ingland and that is because he has never hit one!!! Thanks for coming out Limey!!!

John, great choices although (if you meant it) I would have them shoot in reverse order to you!!!

Guiness,

I did put them in order........reason being the same in soccer......don't want your best guy going last as you may not get to him if others miss.........put them away early and hopefully the 5th guy doesn't go

John is right, You have to go with your best shooter first. Its better to take the lead early than to come back by 1.

1) Lemieux

2) Yzerman

3) Sakic

4) Iginla

5) Kariya

6) if needed Niedermaier (sp)

I know you guys are lloking at my #4 pick and saying WTF but he's not the points leader in the NHL for nothing.

Thumbs down Beater

Your #4 pick was OK, but your alternate (#6) is fcuking minging!!! You fully deserve to be Coppertoned!!! Neidermayer is good at skating up the ice with the puck, but he does need to be shooting or deeking (not passing)

GuinnesswouldgowithGagneorPeca!!!

Default It's not gonna get to a shootout but.....

1.Lemieux

2.Sakic

3.Kariya

4.Lindros

5.Yzerman

I chose Lindros because he has confidence and has always been available to the National team when called upon.I don't like what he has done to teams in the nhl but he still is a great talent.

Oiler,

I don't think that you're not wrong about that

Yours in double negatives,

I'm all confused with the double negative stuff. Hey, is a gay lesbian actually straight?

So confused.

Wink my mistake....

Guinny, of course you're right, Phil Neville was just a goat for another reason. My fifth pick for the penalties should have been J. Collins, Kamloops, 2001.

Sorry about that, Fastshow.

Default my lineup

1. Lemieux
2. Sakic
3. Kariya
4. Yzerman
5. Nieuwendyk

and I agree with an earlier post, NO SHANAHAN and Im abit confused with Peca, the guy is a great checker with decent hands but no where near the best on the team, would pick Lindros, Iginla, Gagne over him

Question

Canada 4, US 2.

But just in case....

1. Lemieux - nuff said

2. Kariya - deceptive and highly skilled. Also, Richter doesnt see him that much during the year.

3. Nolan - remember the called shot on Hasek in the all-star game? That is what legends are made of.

4. Yzerman - best Canadian player in the tournament to date.

5. Fleury - knows Richter.

alternates - Nieuwendyk, Lindros, Sakic.
