Tix for all games at Swangard bought before Christmas for the whole famdamily. Sitting on the east side as well, hopefully not too close to Bandcamp so the demonspawn don't scare him off.

Had my first bout of chemo this morning, so I'm hoping I'll be in good spirits for the Spanish match tomorrow. Otherwise Dad's getting the tix. Wish the games would be in HD, though.

Are you sure you don't roll as in how you roll the dice at your weekly D&D session?

I have tickets to the round of 16 match in Victoria. Hoping Argentina shits the bed a little and places second in their group so that they'll have to come out this way for the game.

Full Swanguard package, somehow manage to get 1st row on about where the 25 yard line would be if there was one. Stoked about Sunday, Spain-Uruguay should be great, not sure how I'm going to get home though, driving will be out.

Yes, in fact all games in the east are being played on AT... the turf at the big O is a replacement as the first carpet they brought in for this tourney a couple of weeks ago was rejected for being crap (or something like that).

Where the fcuk were all the people at the start of this game?

Nice game between Poland/Brazil. Have to admit I'm pretty happy with the outcome, but you've got to be impressed with Pato, though.

What was the deal with the red card, though? I could've sworn he showed a yellow and even wrote his note on the yellow card. Was there a subsequent comment from the player? What happened?

By the way -- and I know I've been harping on this for a while -- but it seems the "Main Net Live" broadcasts are in HD (or perhaps it was just the location??). I've posted a copy of the first three broadcasts below. Can anyone tell me what channel "Country Canada" is? And, of course, the GolTV broadcasts WILL NOT be in HD.

It was his second yellow, though you wouldn't have known it if listening to Armitage and Doley

I watched the match on the CBC HD channel and is was HD but piss-poor HD

Country Canada is channel 96... it's digital but not HD.

Cheers, found it.

Agreed, it wasn't as good HD as I've grown used to. Still.

Sounds like better announcing on Country Canada too.

The play-by-play guy (don't know his name, but he is a World Cup regular announcer) on GOL for the Panama/ Korea DPR game is 10X better than the CBC crew that called the Brazil/Poland game and didn't notice the red...and infinitely better than that guy ("ack ack ack") who is usually calling the games on GOL lately.
