Sure glad the officals helped out the Pens as this series should have been a sweep.....

Proof you ask....look at the last two minutes of last nights game with the Wings up 3-1, Datyusk gets pulled down with an open net, no call. yet 15 seconds later the Pens are on the powerplay which they scored to make it 3-2. If the Pens would have ended up winning last nights game the heat Betman would have been under today would have been huge.

Ummm.. not likely.

The Pens got screwed by bad reffing the entire series not including that one incident. Detroit is a team that is guilty of interference on almost every rush up the ice. They were supposed to have gotten rid of that with the new rules yet the wings got away with it time and time again. Also for some so called tuff guys (holmstrom, osgood) they do a crap load of diving. Reminded me of italian soccer the flopping those 2 were doing forsure.

All in all it was a great run by the Pens, they need to learn a few things. They caused most of the goals against on bad turnovers and sloppy play in their own zone and allowed Det to walk into the zone too easy everytime. They need to watch how Det stops them before they enter the zone and force the dump in. A learning experience and I'm sure they will be back.

Did you even watch the series?

Pens weren't even close, they didn't deserve any of there wins and were vastly out played by a complete team!

No I didnt watch it Just making comments for fun!

I suppose they got outplayed in all of their series up to the final aswell, especially the one against the Leafs!! Funny I dont remember that one though. I have gotten used to your I am always right commentary so I wont bother arguing back again as it's pointless, you have blinders on!

I am a big fan of the pens, or at least more of a fan of them than the wings...but your comments Superstiker are out to lunch imho. Everyone is entiteld to an opinion, but yours is wrong...

The only thing I will say is that the refs did allow of clutching and grabbing, both ways, and if the Wings did more of it than the Pens, and got away with it, than "Mike" Therien was outcoached, because the Wings were allowed to skate right up the middle wave after wave at the poor pens d and that was the difference in the series.

I think the Pens were outcoached, outplayed, and outclassed.

The pens have more skill and better goalkeeping, but Babcock is an evil genius, and the Pens are young...

You have to walk before you can run.

I guess you are out to lunch aswell! Since I already said that they allowed Det too easy access to their zone....yet I'm out to lunch and you just said the same thing Maybe you want to call the fact that Det got away with more penalties as outcoached, well I say thats bad reffing! I never said on here that they deserved to win the cup more than Det. I agree they were outplayed for the most part of most of the games! Yes they were outcoached aswell, because they never stopped Det from playing their game.

They do have more skill and better goaltending, but the biggest reason they lost that series was they made too many costly mistakes and allowed Det to play in their end too much! When they played hard and put all the effort in, they had Det on their heels and showed they should be the better team. They just lacked the drive to do it 100% of the time. Det wanted it more.

This is pretty close to accurate... You should have said "ever" where you put "always" and it would be 100% true

This is where you are wrong... You should be quite upset the officials helped out the pens on that call.... The game was over already, they didnt tie it up, sure it was a trip but how is that proof the pens shouldnt have won a game in this series....

You really are the DOUCHE here!!

I would, but for some reason I do not have editing privileges or the ability to settle bets. Regs, KNVB, can you help?

Now quit bugging me, I am about to watch Holland/Italy at the swim up bar here. And the (tall female) bartender is from Amsterdam.

You can't settle it because as it says, the event runs until June 10th.

Sir M should be able to settle it tomorrow.

I think.

Good. June 10th is about enough around here. Too bad about road trip rules, TTPers would love some of these stories.
