Thumbs up How will Canada do?

With the FIFA Youth World Cup beginning today, what do you think are Canada's chances?

The team that Dale Mitchell has assembled seems well prepared with very credible results recently leading up to the tourney.

Historically, Canada has faired well, making the quarterfinals back in 2003 (I think that was the year).

Don't forget to vote in the poll above!

Cheers,

~Regs.

I am an optimist, and you can't argue that DM has done a very fine job. Hopefully home field advantage- and fans- can help make a positive difference.

I too am an optimist, plus I pick all my teams to go all the way regardless, but I'd be happy to see them in the quarterfinals.

I'll say the boys in red get humped against the worlds best. I only say this because it's easier to accept when they lose for me if I already expect it.

After watching Austria vs Congo last night, it's clear that Chile are easily the best side in this group, by a long shot. Neither team looked liek a national squad yesterday. Canada will fare better against both of these sides. Having said that, I still think they'll lose to both of them. Canada will be lucky to come out of this group with 2 points!!!!
