| Give Me Strength A Better Bastard | New month and the season is drawing to a close. Quite a few spots up for grabs re Cup seedings and Provincial spots. Congrats to both Surrey Utd and Metro Ford for clinching the first two spots, and to Cliff Avenue for getting promoted. Who will achieve the final four Provincial spots from the VMSL?

| Member | When is the fricken draw and when is the first round - we still gotta knock off SCK's bunch for fun before this all starts - RZ will end up with laryngitis after we finish with them - what is it with goalies anyways - do they really think they have to yell about everything and try to be emotional - maybe too many shots to the head ? |

| Member | Goalies...They are either too fat, too "bright", or too slow.... Both of ours a prime example of the above. We'll see about Sunday my friend. A win against the big boys would be good before the cup round. Has anyone else beat you guys twice this year?? I heard the league cup draw is out...Any ideas where it is? SCK |

| Member | Yep...didn't you look at the standings page...Westside has already done that to us this year although we literally "threw" that game away....one of our back up keepers..no names mentioned...threw the ball right up the middle of the park to JC's foot and he quite nicely deposited it back in the corner of the goal..2-1 with 5 mins left...that was at the beginning of the season...long long time ago.. Cheers!

| Member | Thanks Scotty. I can always count on you for updating the Firemen games... In case you didn't know, the league cup draw is officiallly this coming Saturday. All 12 premier and top two in div. 1. Whoever draws Cliff Ave. don't expect an easy game... SCK |

| Give Me Strength A Better Bastard | The top 4 Premier teams, I am advised, are going to be seeded. There is a way to go though, based on the schedule, in determining which will be the second Div 1 side eligible for cup play. And of course some Premier Div games to go, although not nearly as many as Division One.

| Member | Awwww who wants to be seeded anyway...puts more pressure on yourselves...we'll just go on our merry way...on the fringe..I think that's how we played it last year... Cheers!

| Member | For once I agree with you Scottyshell. We are hoping to use your approach this year as well. Especially after finishing in the top two the last couple of years and not getting the results... I am trying to remember the last time a team won the league standings and still managed to win it all.... SCK |

| Member | Scotty, we're going to be needing a second on that claim...Stew, do you have the stats from back then? I seem to recall winning a few League-related things with Westside during that era...and Columbus as well. |

| Respect & Honour A Total Bastard | Scotty, No idea if SU did, that was before my time... Peg did the open triple 3 years ago though if that counts (minus league)...

| Member | I've got email going back that far and, after looking back, I know we didn't win the league that year..I seem to recall a tough loss to the Firemen at the Port Moody turf around then in the League Cup final as well so maybe Scotty is right although I think their BC's were the O-35's as opposed to the (tougher) O-30's. |

| Member | No..you guys are right but I didn't say it was in the O30's league..at that time it was an O35's league...we even had ugly t-shirts made...butt ugly... Cheers!

| Respect & Honour A Total Bastard | Nice to see all 3 Div 1 teams in the same half of the draw ![]() Pretty much every game in the bottom half looks to be tough.
