Perhaps New West will settle the school issue and decide to actually add another turf field given that the population has increased and registration in youth soccer has increased since I have lived here ... or maybe ditch the New West School Board and join Burnaby so that we could have access to Byrne Creek and add another field or two ... Sapperton will be yours until you are on the over 40's ... unless JI gets developed into turf but don't count on it.

Well after a 3 for six week last week (although I did pick a tie), with tail between legs, I will take another stab at predictions for this week:

WVFC hosting Wickham: WVFC.
PCOV hosting Inter: Inter.
Metro Ford hosting Columbus: Metro Ford.
West Side hosting SU: West Side.
Cliff hosting Sapperton: Sapperton.
Firefighters hosting Cracovia: Firefighters.

Things are much closer this year, so I could easily go 0 of 6 this week. Although I have confidence in the VFF pick.

Best game to watch will be West Side vs SU.

Mundy #4 did but Charles Best, as of 9pm tonight, still has lights.

Game is at Heritage Woods @ 8pm.

Only half a game....coaching duties prevail,so does the drive to Abbotsford. Hopefully I'm not the 11th guy on Sunday as numbers are down..
Regs....ever played at Quilchena? If not you guys are in for a treat. I know I didn't play against them but SCK..you say Metro Ford has a better defense than Columbus? Didn't Cracovia get 2 on them...and Columbus beat up PCOV after they crushed Cracovia...hmmmm A guy should really have a pint or two before making picks for this week.....ok...talked myself into that!

Last night...Inter 1 PCOV 0
Not much of a game....period. We controlled most of the game with no finish! Got one in the last ten to pick up the much needed points. Credit to them for working hard but it should never have been that close. Now to rest the bodies for the turf next weekend...Good news our way with the signing of Nick D., former Whitecap and National team player. Should add some stability in the middle of the park and bolster an already solid defense.

Columbus 3 Ford 2

This game should of been a blow out, we missed 3 break aways they cleared 3 off the line. There back line struugled most of the night, lack of fitness. They had a suspect penalty shot at the 90 minute. Hey SCK ask Nick what size does he wear for a jacket for next year. Anyways great result, looking forward to play Crack. Hey SCK keep smoking that bunk, with that great call on Metro Fords defence.

Last time I looked defense wins championships...Looks like you forgot how you lost the final last year?? Sounds like Surrey were the better team on the day. Lack of scoring from a very offensive club. You also failed to mention that you got one goal against us....last 3 or 4 minutes of play? But, I digress. Yes, Nick may play upfront, or in the middle...Heck he can play wherever he wants. And Hose, he ALREADY HAS a jacket!! MF, I heard, missed a few bodies so I wouldn't get too cosy with your 3-2 win. SCK do you how we lost that game before shooting your mouth off. We missed a bunch of chances and the 22 year old ref gave them a PK in the last 15 Minutes. we pushed they countered and scored, end of game. Come January the only form of exercise you will be doing is taking down your christmas lights. You know the time we ended your season yet again last year in December wait January. Cafe Latte!!!! SCK love to see Inter's trophy case, wait I'm soory shoe box!

Sounds like a rumble is brewing in a Commercial Drive coffee shop .... MF is not strong this year and I would put them behind Inter (if they can ever score besides whining at the ref).
