Default The Top 375

The Sporting News has put out a list of the Top 375 Cities when it comes to sport. Some interesting choices to say the least. I can't believe Maple Ridge didn't make it.

Check it out.

Ottawa at 37? Portland at 40? WTF do they have?

Surprised to see Vancouver as high as it is at 41...

Interesting rankings to say the least. Good find, esteemed Football Moderator

No other Canadian cities after Calgary at 46? All they did was rate all the cities with Major League franchises and then flip a coin for the other 325 or so cities with either a minor league baseball franchise or a college football or basketball team. Toronto's at 20 because they get 13,000 people to Blue Jays games on weekends? That's got to be the most overrated selection. Fair enough, they do give the Raptors and Leafs support but there are a few other franchises that get squat.

I think that out of the 375 cities 300 of them are college sports towns. Understandable considering it is a US magazine, but I can't believe Maple Ridge never made it.

That's because valley-style biking isn't considered a sport yet.

Keeper, ever see Bull Durham? Only the Best baseball movie ever made, despite Kevin Costner being in it. Surely that must ring a bell...

TheRob, Maple Ridge is a hole. Get over it.

KNVB,

What are you on? Major League was by far the greatest baseball movie ever made. Corbin Bernsen is an acting genius. The Natural is a distant second.

Wild Thing, you make my heart sing.
