Default Is Maple Ridge Secondary field grass or turf?

As above........

Has anyone on this thread played at Maple Ridge Secondary? If so, is it grass or turf? We're supposed to be playing there tomorrow afternoon with our school team and I was wondering if the field holds water well......because it could be mess I would imagine......Thanks in advance.

Does it hold water well.....fukc no you will be lucky to play, this field is always closed.

It's either grass or gravel they have both.

My backyard is bigger then the field so don't expect to run much.

Are we talking about the school field or Merkley beside it?
Didn't know they even played games on the school field (the one iside the track).

If it's Merkley, it closes usually to avoid teams that are not schoo teams from using it and wearing it out, but i agree it's not the best for drainage.

The message we received was the field in behind the school.......so I have no idea which one it is...Can you see Merkeley from the school? Is it a half-decent size at least?

That is Merkley. Yeah it's fine as far as size goes. If you have ever played on the New Hammond Field in Maple Ridge, i would consider that to be a small field. That was our postage stamp home field last season.
It may be wet, but i can't see it being puddly.
Should be alright.

The north east corner at Merkley will be very wet. The feild has a MAJOR slope to it too, and they probably haven't cut the grass since August.

Have fun!

Won't have to worry about it as the game has been changed to Samuel Robertson. Three o'clock for anyone interested in getting soaking wet.

It just keeps getting further out for you guys.

SRT is a good field though. We played on it Friday night in the torential down pour and there wasn't a stitch of standing water on it.

There is a second turf field opening soon at Westeview Secondary very soon.

Franchise, maybe it just seems that way to me because i've always been running uphill.

Okay I just took it as you thought Merkely was bigger then Hammond new. I think Hammond new a very good size compared to most teams grass home parks.

It's small, trust me.
I honestly think Merkley is bigger. By how much i'm not sure.
