Default Goalie needed for Over 50's

I know this is a long shot as I'm sure there aren't too many old-timers on this site, but maybe some of you could pass this on to your dads or their friends. We play out of Port Moody, home games at Ioco field (grass), games every Wed. 7:00pm(some Tuesdays) and of course a BBQ and a full cooler for every game. Goalies only please as we already have 20 players signed.

Where do I sign up?

Got me there, the book on HOS is the outside the box chip and the big box of fish and chips. Both have been my down fall as a keeper.

Is Teddy still ripping it up in Over-50's, would love to see one of those matches, with a full cooler of coarse.

But you are still the uncontested champion of two touch in the box

He's still playing at 70

Are you still talking about soccer?

70... I think Clarke Brolly is taking a run at his consecutive season record That is a lot of rookie nights to go through.

That looks kinda like Teddy in your avatar dickens.

Two touch in the box, yes I remember the days, now I get fouled/taken down way before I get close to the box, and I usually end up rolling around and crying like C. Ronaldo, but without the boyish looks.

Good on Teddy, how many are still out there kicking it at 70, he could probably chip me too.

Trece, interesting thought, I think Columbus is playing them tomorrow night -- could you play goalie for one team and mid-field for another... I'd have to be awfully quick in transition and wear a reversible shirt, then again I'd probably spend all night trying to chip myself, both teams would end up taking turns chopping me as I went by.

The world will never know, though, as I am in Edmonton through Wed afternoon.

Some great games the last few Saturdays -- BBQ this coming one... be a Champion!

J: wouldn't be the first time you've fouled yourself...

I should be able to get there on Saturday (at least for the BBQ) - my ankles will be safe from Hanno.

Is Auld Bill still involved in any organized league? I thought he was shuffling around in the over 55s a couple of years ago, and at 75, he wouldn't be giving away too many years...

beerz,

Trece

Yes and thank you to Trece for reporting it.

Cheers,
