| Member | We will be moving back to Vancouver and have a daughter playing Division 1 soccer in Seattle, Washington. Her team is one of the best in our state in this age group and she is a highly competitive goalkeeper with a very good reputation down here. We have no idea where to start in finding her a soccer home in Vancouver. Any insight/help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Our goal is to let her finish her season down here this year and then move her up at tryouts. thanks for any help!! |

| Respect & Honour A Total Bastard | What area of Vancouver are you moving to and when? (I think most youth tryouts for the upcoming season are already over, hopefully someone who is more in the know could post here regarding that).

| Member | We are looking on the westside, North Van and West Van. However, at this time we commute to her team anywhere up to an hour each way depending on what field they are on so we are not worried about driving to the right team (should she make the squad) We are more concerned finding a team who will be actively participating in the college showcases and premier tournaments, as her goal is to play at university and we are told that she should have no problem finding a D1 team. We would hope to let her finish her season down here, which would be April'08 (she'll live with a teammate). When are tryouts up there for next season? |

| Respect & Honour A Total Bastard | Do you mean April '09? I'm a bit outta the loop here on the youth side of things but there are a few members of this site that should be able to help guide you in the right direction.

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | GN Good?, No! That is not the team you are looking for, move allong. Most of the best girls teams for that age play out of Surrey (S. Surrey for sure) or the North Shore. There is a pretty good program on the Shore, but I think I costs you a bit to join. If she can play, I am sure she will have no proplem, there seems to be a lack of strong goalkeepers for the girls at all ages. hos |
