Tournaments

Just curious to see if anybody has any information, experiences, or know of any tournaments located outside of British Columbia ( Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, etc. ....or even in the States) that are open to Men and are somewhat competitive.

Hey All, Saw this old post searching...
has anyone here sent a team to any tourneys in Vegas or Hawaii or anything?

I want to try and line something up for my team like this, but that damn google thing is useless, morelike the state Soccer federations (if they even have websites) websites are terrible...
I think I found one tourney in Everett WA the week before FVSL goes on break.

You would think someone in Vegas would put together some big Thanksgiving (US THKSGV) or Christmas Tourney, but no...not that I can find anyways.

Also found something called soccer resort, where they organise tourneys in nice places, but the things are 6 a side or 8 a side...

Any experiences??? anyone?...

I've played in 2 of Soccer Resorts' tournaments, both were in Montreal. The calibre of soccer was pretty decent and the weekends were well organized.

I have pals that have played in Soccer Resorts' Iceland, New York and Vegas tournaments. I've only heard good things about these tourneys.

Problem is with SR is that (looks like anyways) all their tourneys are 6 a side or 8 a side...

I will wait to see if anyone else has heard of or gone to Vegas or Hawaii or some other highly exotic place for a a good time partying et all and mixing in some footy.

We have a Hawaiian guy on our team, and he has in the past mentioned a tornament in Hawaii, that he wanted our Over 30 team to go to. Trouble is, we didn't have enough guy's interested, too many young families.

I will drop him a line and get the name! If I remember correct, he knew one of the organizers! I'll let you know, even though you support the wrong Glasgow team!

Still trying to locate Glasgow on the Irish Map...cannae find it though...

cheers, if you can find it that would be great... Hawaii is a little different than Vegas, but if that is what it takes to get my team to fundraise well and try to find sponsor(s) than so be it.

There used to be a tourney in Vegas but early in the year...Feb I think. It was called the Silver Mug tourney and sponsored by Budwieser....now this was many moons ago but us VFF's went two years in a row...loads of fun and good soccer..provided you got to bed before 4 am...ha! Don't know if it still runs though.

Encore Sport Tours will set this up for you, Johnny. They do A LOT of trips to Hawaii.........and can just set up 3 exhbition games for you......

The U-17 girls team I help coach is going to Vegas in February for a BIG tournament. :thumbup:
