WM,

I'll have the pick-sheet up by Friday I hope as long as the field is set.

I'll post here and send an email out once it is all ready!

Cheers,

~Regs.

Regs, we have to wait on the qualifying tournaments this weekend before they set the field don't we? I'm sure that what I read. Though, I thought I read the Outsiders in grade 8 and I failed that test miserabley didn't I?

Let's be honest though... other than TR, who the hell is going to pick anyone coming out of the qualifying tourney?

I say we put up the field as it is so far and then notify people that if they want to change anything to a qualifier they just need to email/PM us.

Who's Duvall? Isn't he the moron that said he won't act in Canada or something?

If DV can't pick, give him the picks he had for the Masters. That would seem only fair

Or I'll pick DV's picks for him. He just sent me a PM and asked me to do so. It's only fair.

I much prefer Frolf (frisbee golf) to just regular golf. More drama, athleticism and skill. There are certainly more girls involved too, but then again you also have more hippies and Ultimate geeks. Tradeoffs, I suppose.

I'm speechless, comparing frisbee throwing to the game of golf is something I cant absorb!

The girls can come and carry my bag though!

I wonder, Wolfman, why would you want to swing like Freddie? I hear he has appalling taste in woman and that he prefers boy-girl-boy threesomes instead of the obviously more appealling boy-girl-girl option. I just don't get it.

The thing about Frolf is, dogs can play too. I just love the way they jump up and grab the frisbee with their little doggy teeth.

too funny...

Back on topic of golf banter....Freddie is on fire a 67 today!
Mike Weir cant seem to get it going since the Masters...too sad!

And I even considered taking Lee Janzen for my US Open dark horse.....
Ouch!

Default Tough Picks

I tell ya, picking only eight players is very difficult - so many players playing good golf....

And then there is David Duvall trying to make a comeback... Could be a good pick!

Its going to be tough defending the title... I just made my picks and I'm not confident at all!

Furyk plans to play in U.S. Open

Associated Press

6/14/2004

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) - U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk, expected to be out until July while recovering from wrist surgery, showed up at Shinnecokc Hills over the weekend and said he planned to defend his title.

``Obviously, being here is a big step,'' Furyk said Monday before playing nine holes.

Furyk said he would play nine holes each practice round at Shinne**** Hills before deciding whether he is strong enough to play when the tournament begins Thursday. He said there was no risk of further injuring his wrist unless he did something ``really violent'' with the club.

Furyk, who tied the 72-hole scoring record at Olympia Fields last year for his first victory at a major, had surgery March 22 to repair torn cartilage in his left wrist.

He said then he would be out for three to six months. That made the U.S. Open a long shot at best, and even raised questions whether he could play in the Ryder Cup.

But the recovery went quickly, and Furyk played his first full round last Wednesday at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. By Friday morning, he was looking for a place to stay on Long Island.

``I'm not fooling myself. I'm not fooling anybody else,'' Furyk said. ``I haven't played tournament golf in six months. I'll be grinding it out.''
I think I'll pick him. Anybody else?

Yes, an injured Furyk will be my second over all pick right after I pick David Duval who hasn't been in a tournament since November or been in a Top 20 since November 1999 and place my bet on square head to win anything especially a war.

It really is a bloody miracle you broke a million.

Captain, if Dart Vader can't get internet access by the Tuesday night before the US open you've got the green light on his picks. What about a $15.00 single tourney fee for your own?

I guess PM Regs or me his picks and we'll put them in... Yes? Regs?

Anyone else looking for a one tourney pay-day? Dap? RF? Balls?

Welcome back to the PGA Tour Mr. Duval. Congratulations about your birdie on #1. Sorry to hear about the back to back doubles on three and four, and the boge on five.

Its going to be a long day for David. Probably not the best idea to make your triumphant return to professional golf for the most difficult tournament of the season. Let's try and keep it below 80 today, can we?
