| Member | Now that we've reached mid-season, it's appropriate to assess our predictions from the start, however there've been few surprises at the top of the tables. Nevertheless, there have been a few teams not yet meeting expectations. Which has been the biggest surprise?

I think the key to their success is the fact they have probably the best 2 strikers in Division 2 and a sweeper who is tough and shows very impressive range for a big man. Like I said previously, the game of the year will be EW vs CA at Beaconsfield. Should be a dandy that everyone should try to make ... I know I'll be there for a looksy. |

| Member | bonefish, I'm just playing by ear right now - we'll see how things unfold in the next few weeks. fingers, You can pick up players until about the 2nd week in January or something like that. The excellent site will post under "important Notices" what the cut-off is. |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | The other day, as mentioned elsewhere, a Madagascarian team scored 149 own goals in a game to prove a point. I'd imagine this recored could be beaten, along with the single game attendance record at a VMSL game ![]() |

| Member | you can sign new players right up until the last game of the year but there is transfer deadline in mid-january for transferring players currently signed with other teams. fingers - are you strikers 'b' or rangers 'b'? teelay - is fazio lighting it up this year? he's played with us a bit and we tried to pick him up for div 1 but he was convinced EW were going to get there. maybe this year? |

| Member | bandcamp, Yes Frankie is on top of his game this year, probably the top striker in Division 2 from a danger perspective. His stats probably don't tell the tale as he's been injured of late though. He's in good shape this year and playing with a purpose. His sidekick up front, Dave, is also lighting it up and is the most composed guy around with the ball - it's like he plays in slow motion yet no one can get to him. I'm also in awe of the Fury - last year they were a bunch of pylons. I guess they either picked up a bunch of players in the summer or "B" is seriously weak... |

We, NK, played them in preseason and they beat us. However, they were at that point very beatable and we were equipped with a talented, but recently put together squad (we also had a keeper who failed to show up for us). |

Again does anyone think that the Orange and Black can get to 100 goals for with 6 games left and 68 goals already scored? They need to get 5 vs. EW. Can't wait to see this Div.2 CA team play against a Div.1 team or even a premier team in the Imperial Cup, they will give teams a run. HOS Last edited by Hands of Stone; 12-03-2002 at 12:56 PM. | |
