Strathcona 2 - 0 PCOV Europa
We scored 2 in the first 30 and kept them away from our box the rest of the game. One shot on target, two in total for PCOV, really disappointing. One dangerous player,#9, the rest just- poor.
Anyone at UBC tonight?

Welcome back Baback, I see you left the Friends as well!
L'pool 2:1 Utd, agree.
Agree with Mr Base about Cosmos, their problem are guys that don't like to play in the rain and cold.
UBC METRO 5 - NORVAN 0
that basically wraps up division 3A.
Well, not quite. Last ones with a chance at them may be B United.
They have the goal differential and record to suggest they may be able to run with them.... otherwise it does appear that Metro is by far the class of 3A.
Metro is the class of 3A but to suggest they wrapped it up 3 weeks into the season is ridiculous.
Gastown won their first 5 games last season, conceding only 1 goal and finished in 6th.
Metro is a fit side now. Other clubs will give them way better games next time around. You guys are saying things very early in a season. Sometimes clubs loose two three guys to diferant clubs or injuries. Lots of time is left yet. B United is pushing this year.
They might just turn it on. Or onother club might catch on fire.
Or we might set fire to some of our players to get them to move a bit more...They might just turn it on. Or onother club might catch on fire.
Sweeper missing due to red card from last game.
Stopper and left back off on vacation (no, not together).
2 centre mids and backup keeper injured.
We will be filling in spots with old drunks again...
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature...
pumas won 5-0 against Bosna // vancouver chaos won 4-0 vs cosmos
anyone watch the games or any news on these games? i wasnt expecting such blow outs in those games...
caspian won 3-0 vs cliff avenue.
Killarney Celtic vs Iranian lads was bit choppy. Irianians head bit more skill and it shoved in the last twenty minutes.
Over all net a bad game. Young ref looked out of place in senior mens game. He looked more like a youth ref.
Head trable keaping up with the flow of the game.
Joe Branco's boot camp would do the ref Worl of good.
B United lost and Northern Touch you just lost all credibility. one doesn't just look up the standings and say something like "Not so fast, B united has a chance" .
the reason i say the rest of the season is a formality in group 3A is simple. UBC metro was playing in division 1 last year and are now in div 3. they are head and shoulder above the rest and will beat everyone with ease. NV had the slightest chance of beating them and with the 5-0 drubbing they took , it seems all but over. there is a chance nv can slip and not end up 2nd , but even that seems very unlikely now.
Wow, some unexpected scores in 3a.
B united had the easiest schedule so far and to lose to Pylons suggest that they are back to old selves.
I knew Pacifica had it in them to "surprise" Signmaster. I can only imagine what they will be like once Northern Touch returns.
We are quite happy in 2nd
Things settling out a bit this week it looks like and some interesting scores. Nice to see my boys pulled out a solid away win.
That's a bit harsh to say I lost all credibility. I haven't played in Vancouver in 6 years and am not back in town until next weekend, so I haven't watched any of the teams and all I rely on are the bloody scores. B's had put up a couple of large scorelines that suggested they may have it in them to keep pace. Obviously not, I guess, with their result to the Pylons and I stand corrected.B United lost and Northern Touch you just lost all credibility.one doesn't just look up the standings and say something like "Not so fast, B united has a chance" .
Friends 4 Celtic 2
Mr. Base - not sure I would call it "choppy" but as mentioned before the game, too much reliance on our old guys. Again. Having a penalty shot saved doesn't help you win games, either.
A much better result for the bhoys, but still not where we want them to be, as the back line still needs some help. Getting the absent and injured back will definitely make some difference, but in the meantime, the beatings will continue until morale improves.
Friends up too early 1-0 on a breakdown from the middle; and then 2-0. Blown penalty shot referred to above, then another one called later, and we get back to 2-1. Good pressure in the 2nd half results in a tied game, but the legs weren't there and one of their guys hit on a very good shot from distance to put them up 3-2. 4th goal was absolutely disgusting. Their forward beat Catorce to the ball and rounded our keeper, then sat down on the ball on the goal line and pushed it in with his arse. No idea where the need to be a dickhead came from, but it will be remembered for the next time he plays against us.![]()

Trace that is a good post by you. As you can see there is five very strong clubs and five weak. And it goes for both groups.
This is why I say we need div four. It would make it allot more fun for teams that get thomped in div three. Set it up as they do in UK and other Europian countries. Div 1 to div 6. Two up two down each year. Top 8 playoffs rest go golfing.
Kids out of youth have very little comitment. Most clubs have six forty year olds or older.
Hey Trece I do agree, it was a stupid move by the Friends striker. Sunday marked my last game for them as well, shaheenfc7 and baback beat me to it by a couple of weeks. My agent is expecting our phones to ring off the hook in the following days...
![]()
okay shaheen, more than a couple of weeks.
we are looking for a striker and a defender..if anyone is interested in switching to the good guys gimme a shout
bytca we are more interested in knowing what exactly happened in your game against cosmos...
Trace what the heck is danny-agger talking5 talking about. Is he one of the older guys like baback. He must be sheep flucker. If he did that against the Serbs or Bosnians he would have been on his ars counting stars.
Sad to see that from a forty five year old guy. What's even more sad to see ref standing there like nothing went on. In my opinion a yellow for unsportman like, or even red for starting a bad vibes between the teams.
Boot camp for sure for that young ref. Van Teck has set of stairs for a guy like him.
