[VMSL Premier] Relegation Battle 08'

With such a tight race for relegation. Lets have some preditctions on which 3 teams are going down this year!

My predictions:

Side A - Sapperton

Side B - Indo

Playoff will be AFC and Westside. AFC will win Westside will be the 3rd team to go down

Sapperton relegation? How many teams have gone to won the BC's, gone to Nationals and then get relegated soon after.
The teams need the new blood.

I haven't followed the season too closely but let's be realistic and eliminate Columbus from relegation...Not going to happen, end of story.

After that, based on records and remaining games, I would have to say Indo is done as well as AFC. AFC is in tough against Surrey this weekend and Indo have to beat a really hot Firefighters.

That leaves the playoff and I surmise that Sapperton will square off against Westside with the Rangers prevailing.

Sapperton has two games remaining (Indo and Metro Ford)
AFC has two games remaining (Surrey and Firefighters)

Clan needs a single point from their last 4 games (Croatia, Delta, Inter, Surrey) in order to be guaranteed to avoid relegation.

Sapperton has a better chance to be in the "playoff"... simply by their schedule. AFC has a very tough couple of games... especially against the Firefighters who have dramatically closed the gap between themselves and West Van.

I think side A will finish:

5 Columbus
6 Sapperton
7 AFC

It is a story of too little, too late for AFC.

IF 3 teams in a side are tied for last, do they have a round-robin to determine last place and who plays in the relegation game?

I may as well play along here....Westside to go down....Metro Ford to play in the playoff game and win........

Indo to defy all the odds and critics.
