| Premium Member A Better Bastard | With all the talk of Brothers playing together in the league these days, the question comes to mind of who is the best combo. I have played against the Favs (very skilled and have done a tone for Sapperton of late. Or there are the Gaitas, one scoring up front and the other solid in the back. Or the Carphins, both hard as nails, winning tackles all over the park, and kicking knvb when ever he gets on the park. Or the Clarks, a little younger than me, but they both can sure play from what I have seen. There are soo many quility other Combos, perhaps Sporting may have one, and even Croatia with one (at times). So how is it? Perhaps knut can start a poll, as I am now out of the loop. hos |

| Premium Member A Better Bastard | You guys are going way back, how about the Rosalunds (spelling, again), that could be brother combo and now even Father/Son combo, not many of those around I am sure. hos Last edited by Hands of Stone; 09-14-2005 at 01:10 PM. |

| Member | jeez some spell checks needed...lol. Rosenlund is the right spelling I think. Bill, John and Gavin Connors (now passed away sadly) were great players. Ron and Brian Cuthbert- also reaching back. Bruce and Brian Gant. Paul and Mike Favaro are both very high impact players at Sapperton for sure. |

| Fat Bastard A Better Bastard | My God, speaking of Scottish brothers. How could I forget the Mannions? Joe & Eddie. Up there with big Colin Hendry, wee Gordon Strachan, Vindaloo Curry, Irn Bru, and Chip Butties with brown sauce as one of my favourite things.

My apologies for this lapse!! All three have been on my teams including Andy!!! He was a good soccer player - rugged and had some skill but liked rugby a bit more.

I do recall that event at the Burnaby Canadians tourney the year we (Clan Alumni) with you on the side beat Metro Ford in OT in the final off two Alec Barnetson throwins for goals to win 2 to 1 if I recall the score correctly. You were in the beer garden guzzling beer while John Connor and I were listening to your dad say how classy our team was! I also recall being directed to call the parents of all you young JV guys (by Jim Easton, Sr, the SFU JV coach) to make it clear that the rookie night was not something he and I sanctioned and that there would be alcohol for sure, etc. You guys - Slater, Sumner were all in Grade 12 and we thought for sure there'd be trouble with parents but all we got was rave reviews from the families - go figure. Imagine Bertrum how far your soccer career could have taken you but for alcohol? Last edited by Reccos; 09-14-2005 at 05:05 PM.

| Member | I wouldn't suggest that this is the best brother combo but perhaps the most brothers playing together at the same time. Bobby, Jimmy, Paul and Mike Nicholas for Clan Alumni and in the line up with John and Gavin Connor. |
