| Member | Did any of you see the Wigan Sheffield game this morning? The ref called a pk, spoke to his assistant, called off the pk, and then properly restarted the game with a drop ball. Brilliant, world class. A ref interested in making the RIGHT call instead of THE call. That video should be used as a training tape for refs around the world. |

| Member | I think he's happy because he played ' Advantage ' and a goal was scored. He's celebrating the fact that the advantage worked out. Right at the very start it looks like there was a foul at the half-way line. If you watch the A/R in the background he's ready to call the foul , then he acknowledges the signal from the ref. I think the ref. gave the ' Advantage ' signal at that point. All referees are happy when an advantage works out , but to do what he did is a bit naughty ! Mike Reed did this in a game at Anfield a few seasons ago. Apparently he was scheduled to referee the FA cup final that year , but when the FA saw him do this , he was removed from the game.
