Default Giving the Ref your two bits

Just wondering what TTPers think about complaining to a ref after he has or has not made a call.

I really don't see the reason why some players continuous chirp at the ref?

I would say 99.5% of the time the ref would not change his mind.
And probably most of the time , if you don't quit complaining, you are doing more damage than good.
Do some players talk to the ref to try to plant seeds of question in the ref?
Are some refs more easily convinced into being impartial by players?
Which players/caoches is the best negotiator (sp?) with refs in the league?
I've seen the Captain get numerous refs to not submit cards to the league
Maybe Walks can comment on these?
