I wish him all the best, and file it under "things we'll never know." Guy had all the tools and then some compared to the "strikers" we blessed to watch last season. Can argue he never got a fair shake after terrible luck with injuries.. Could the Whitecaps staff be to blame for his poor...
I never saw that Canadian Press Release, but the initial reports from local media outlets painted a clear picture of the police being in the right for shooting, with testimony from the Safeway workers etc.
Its a tough judgement call with media, the line where fact and individual influence comes...
Credit given where credit is due. Only thing keeping this game in single digits was our keeper who made a couple great saves... Not much really to say, WCFC were all over us all over the park. The team was much more composed than the first time around. Some absolutely (and unnecessary :P)...
The old pregame excuses are coming out already eh? Top scorer too afraid to get shut down by the top defense? Guess we know which team is feeling the heat
QUOTE="Regs, post: 379284, member: 1"]Awesome concept.
"This is a place where the only academy players wearing neon boots are the trialists hoping for an invitation. The rest wear old-school black."
More awesome
Also,
Hanging in a prominent place in the Rookery is a large wood plaque...
Well my original post says 14 + 7 = 21 (in USL), and Orlando is leaving to join the MLS 21 - 1 = 20... I'm sure your hair is still pretty though.
U-20 team beats USA today... Could they have beaten Panama?
Real Salt Lake, Seattle, Portland, LA and Montreal have all created stand alone USL franchises to foster development. The league jumps from 14 teams to 20 next year (7 joining, 1 moving to the MLS) with some franchises getting some great fan support. Having the backing of strong MLS franchises...
Haven't we been competitive at the U-20 level internationally for a few years now? Whats stopping this from translating into success for the open men's program? I would assume if our U-20s can compete with the likes of European squads (as they're doing now) then they should be able to compete...
Just do what it takes to win. a couple lucky bounces and it would have been 5-1. They scored on their only chance after a shitty header by old dutch. They're weak, it was cold. We got the result. Don't lose sleep over it G10, we don't.
Except the Gunners have teams in 3, 1, and Prem, and the players are welcome to play div 2 if they're looking for players. Again, club system... most of these kids prob have a year or 2 left at the U-21 level before they find a place in one of our many teams.
Quite honestly, and I've seen...
Their 1 goal against was a PK. They're a pretty complete team, prob our best U-21 team yet... which is saying a lot considering our record in recent years...
