Traded prospect Gustav Forsling for Adam Clendening (CHI). Similar players, but Clendening bigger and a few years ahead (22). NHL ready and a PP quarterback by all accounts.
Good trade
....oh, and one other point - no fckin subs in the last five minutes of a match unless you see bone through the skin!
#Fckintimewastingshit does my head in.
Ref sympathizer!
...but I think you're right. The ref was positioned perfectly and had a split second to make a call on a play where the ball clearly hit his arm and where Waston looked really guilty afterwards.
The Law doesn't help the ref's case though:
Handling the ball involves a...
How very harsh you all are to BC Soccer.
Really all they are saying is that you can criticize, voice your opinion, say it's fckd (oops, no sorry, can't use profanities) - basically keep calm and carry on.....just so long as you:
be objective, not personal - e.g. "it was agreed by general...
Ooops, plagiarism - should have included quotes. That's straight out of the Province today....I reckon they're reading TTP and are just answering our questions ;)
- As he’s done the last few weeks, Caleb Clarke participated in Tuesday’s small-sided games. The Richmond-born striker continues to rehab and work on his fitness after suffering a ruptured quadriceps muscle in May. Clarke is not eligible to for MLS play this season.
Well I'm not sure it's actually a misuse of the adjective in this case....
I refer you to my earlier post and definitive definition #2:
2. hopeless, stupid
"he was Hurtado tonight"
So, inserting the word hopeless in the above sentence...actually makes a sentence.
Doesn't change the fact that...
I'd play a diamond 7 with three sweeping full backs attacking up the left side only and work on the throw-in in the first third as a set piece to build from. Once you've got that cracked you can move on to getting something effective out of the front two.
Ah fck it, I'm absolutely Hurtado about...
Much as I think this season is turning into the same season we saw last year, I would give the coach one more go....there, I said it.
Some of the new players brought in on his watch are something we can build with, rather than a desperate attempt at getting higher profile players on the wrong...
I'd give Salgado and Maneh chance up front in a heartbeat - I do think that pair would be a challenge for many defences and as many have said.....can't get much worse.
I think there is more than one problem - this is rubbing a number of the staff the wrong way and another incident in training this week didn't help his cause. Take a read of Weber's article - I'm not at all close to the situation but the way he is writing, it seems to be a pattern.
Yep, good job Sniffer - you guys certainly were up for the game and came out firing. When we finally woke up a bit in the second half it was way too late and with only 10 men it was an uphill struggle to say the least.
Look forward to the return match and hopefully our game will be more of a...
Well, I'm thinking you're going to be 3 for 5 this week....
I'll go for home wins across the board with the exception of the Saints away.
MOTW (if there is one in Div 3!) - Rangers vs Bullets.
Funny how the two guys that should be given a chance to make a difference are the ones singing rather than playing. Really no idea why he hasn't given that combo a chance up front together.....can't be worse!
Other developments likely....?
(couldn't be arsed to set up another thread for this one post:shame:).
While goal-line technology debuted for both World Cup and English Premier League action this year, Major League Soccer is looking to take video assistance one step further. MLS commissioner Don...
