Off to a good start for the girls in red!

I watched the first half before Nigel Reed put me to sleep

Did Randee Hermus get into the match in the second half?

Where was Timko?

And listening to the TEAM 1040 this morning, Kara Lang was set to join the morning crew after the match but was promptly whisked away to doping tests.

Yeah I thought that was odd too, the game not starting until 08/08/08 but they started today  Oh well, highlights looked good, and they'll need to keep getting better with Sweden looming.

Not that odd. Every summer Olympics has some overlap when it comes to the longer events.

The whole smog thing is going to be...interesting, to say the least.

Honesly, the decision to give these guys the games still baffles me. Rewarded for being bad citizens to their own people and the rest of the planet.

Apparently the whole US womens soccer team came off the plane wearing masks as they didn't want to breath in the smog. Needless to say the IOC wasn't to happy about it. I say good for them, I would want to breath as little of that as possible.

Question is............Bulljive, would they take the masks off while giving you a gobble?

Someone is in need of a quality boink.

Yes, the US Cycling team pulled the same media stunt w/ the masks. Normally I'd be agaist this type of blatant arrogant and disrespectfull statement, but in this case, the Yanks are only "saying" what everyone is thinking.

A good freind of mine just spend a month over there for business. This guy is a former elite athlete, and he figured he'd want to be there at least a month to get acclimatized, and the air itself hurt in the lungs to breath many days.

I know Amber Allen who just the other day was injured and won't be playing now on this team. She has had horrible luck as her skill level and speed would of helped this team.

On the bright side of things I'm so pumped to watch the olympics in general.
