Starting on July 7th (less than 2 weeks away), this is our best chance to really see how far along Canada has come under their gaffer Benito Floro.

Group A
USA
Haiti
Honduras
Panama

Group B
Costa Rica
El Salvador
CANADA
Jamaica

Group C
Mexico
Trinidad
Cuba
Guatemala

Sportsnet World holds the TV rights here in Canada so you'll need to get a subscription if you want to see the games here.

A top 2 group finish should be doable, especially with Canada playing on of the games at BMO in Toronto.

Not sure what's going on with next years Copa America Centennial now that its assets are frozen due to the FIFA scandal but to qualify for it, Canada needs to get to the semifinals at least.

Group C look weak Mexico will walk away with that one...
Group A looks tough, US, Honduras and Panama
Group B Canada does have a good shot and a top two finish would be great heading into World Cup qualifying...

Anyone catch the USA v HON match last night?

2-1 USA final with Dempsey getting both

Honduras gave them a scare though and I really thought they were going to tie up there in the later stages towards the end.

Where the fcuk will I find that on my TV? I can barely figure out how to turn the fcuking thing on, and the wife and kids are in Whistler for the summer.

I need a bylaw office to come over and help me turn the thing on. But 7:30, you say...I'll try and tune in. Where is it being played?

Any positives to take out of that tripe?

Piette - what does everyone see in him? I just don't get it. Same with Edgar. Mince the pair of them.

Straith is solid in front of the back four. Everyone else sucks donkey balls.

Pretty sad wasn't it?
Nobody moves into a support position, when they get possession.
Its like a "hide & seek competition".
I heard that they had to take the ball away in an Ambulance, after the game.
Kick it up he field, as far as you can.
Is that the game plan?
No "patterns of play".
No support.
No possession.
Poor defending.

Do we have faith in our Coaches?
Can they lead the way to success?

Dismal is the adjective I'd use to describe last night.

The only decent performance for me was the goal keeper, Stampampopoulous or however ya spell his surname. Made some good stops early, but also failed to catch a simple high ball!?

I'm glad I had nothing in my hand when he missed that, because I'd be less one TV today.

So disjointed. And Bekker...is he that bad in MLS? I mean, on basic, basic things like the set pieces (corners), he was beyond bad.

RT came in w/ a flurry; that cracker of a left he let loose was a good strike. But again, he had a couple of poor moments in a short period of time. Likely hyped up, and even more out of synch than the squad around him.

I don't know what positive you can take from a game where our great hope of a striker looked worse than Darren Mattocks on his worse night. Just depressing. I can't even give Aphabetsoupname (Keeper) any credit, after he made a meal out of that basic save. How El Salvadore did not score is almost as poor as Larin's miss. Almost, only because the El Salvadorian player actually had something between himself and the net to try and miss.

What do they do? Is Simeon Jackson available? Should de Guzman start, and if he does, can he go 90?

Very depressing....

Looked to me like Canada has switched to a more MLS style of play...and they have a lot of MLS stye players.

Lots of rough tackles and a lot of kick and run...but they did get a point...:gurps:

Hard to believe that Canada can still get out of the group with a win over Costa Rica.

Normally I would say no chance but with the match being played on home soil @ BMO in Toronto, stranger things have happened. Like a goal from Canada

Floro needs to sort out his player selection. The middle of the park has NO ONE that takes charge and distributes with authority.

Our outside backs are terrible, both Ledgerwood and De Jong cannot possibly be the best we have?

Don't get me started on Rickets either, there are better options than him in the VMSL. The dude always looks angry too. Samuel L Jackson angry.
