Now get out there and prove me wrong!

Westside vs Metroford is an interesting game as Westside usually save their best form for the cups. An upset there would bust up my bracket!

And the VMSL has scheduled the semi-finals of this cup at a field that doesn't have enough if any functioning change rooms.

At least they have scheduled in a nap before the final though.

WEAK. Losing your touch @Sir M

Trillium is the ultimate home field advantage.
The home team can use the actual change rooms. Where the visitors have to share the public washroom with people taking showers in the sinks. Well played.

Unicorns enters the Cup, which means one too many teams (17) so there is an elimination game held. Then Uncorns forfeits their first cup game.

That's so WEAK!
Of course there was a potential for MF to score double digits but still, grow a pair of balls Unicorns.

Looks like the round of 16 will go this weekend; there are 7 games scheduled. The eighth game, Metro Ford vs Unicorns game resulted in Unicorns forfeiting the game 3-0 after entering the cup draw to force a playoff game by other teams to get into the round of 16. In any event, here are the fixtures:

Friday:

PCOV (5th place Premier) vs VUFC (10th place Premier). The only thing remaining to VUFC to play for this year is a cup run. That may have started if they were at Point Grey, and have improved since cutting Machel, but they will not be able to get it done over on the east side I am afraid. PCOV 4 VUFC 2.

Norvan (8th place Premier) vs Green Devils (3rd place Div 1). It will be interesting to see how Norvan fares with the cup-tied
players rule in this tournament. They have traditionally overachieved in this cup, and they get the nod in their opener. Norvan 4 Green Devils 2.

Romania (7th place Premier) vs Westside (4th place Premier). Romania can score goals, but they let in as many or more. Westside have slid back a notch or two over the last season and will have difficulties making deep cup runs this year unless they get some heretofore absentee veterans back. They win this one though. Westside 4 Romania 2.

Columbus (2nd place Premier) vs Harps (1st place Div 1). This one will be an indicator of the differences between the two divisions. This one could get ugly on more than one level. Columbus 6 Harps 1.

West Van (3rd place Premier) vs Serbia (5th place Div 1). There is little chance Serbia will be able to get into a change room at Ambleside this Friday. West Van 4 Serbia 0.

Croatia (9th place Premier) vs EDC Chile (6th place Premier). This traditionally would be match of the week. Recent Inter alumni additions Rob Zambrano and Dino Klarich as well as Chile alumni Rene have been added to the in EDC Inter's roster. EDC 2 Croatia 0.

Sunday

Rino's Bulldogs (2nd place Div 1) vs Croatia Vatreni (7th place Div 1).
A rather fortunate draw for both teams here. At least until the next round. Rino's 2 Croatia Vatreni 1.
