Not sure how West Van managed to get the top seed based on the below?
Top 4 were all seeded.

Quarters for the seeds (ie "Seed 1", "Seed 2", etc.) were drawn randomly as was, presumably, the bye.

So short answer to your question is blind luck!

Fair enough. I know the same thing has happened to West Van the other way around. Plus theres the games in hand/points lost thing...never heard of it being a random draw before.

Sorry, correct, it is points per game to determine which seed is which.

I thought the quarters were random because it went 1, 4, 2, 3; however I see it is this way in all the cup competitions.

Not sure if the bye was random or if it was granted to West Van as Seed 1. In the other competitions the byes were random, but all the seeds were already into the second round. Would assume West Van assigned the bye based on being #1 overall.
