I don't think you will hear anyone on this site complaining the bars are open to 3am. Maybe a moan about it is too early too close but definitely not about being open "late".

Where would anyone get the idea that I was complaining? Said complaints were in reference to people who believe that drinking is bad and that keeping bars open until the wee hours of the morning is an evil enterprise. SC, just because you're blacked out by the time 12:31:02 am hits doesn't mean that I am not still there. Bacon?

That's a good point OD .Bacon will never be the same.

Personally I think all licensed facilities should be run like the Taiwanese system. The bar/pub closes when the last person leaves. It may be 9am but at least if you stay to put some chairs up on the tables you'll get a few pints for the help
